   Our server was fabulous! Recommend the best drinks and food options for our parties size! Sat in the outside area and the ambiance was perfect, thank you Bar La Rue!

   Beyond disappointed. One of the worst restaurants in the city at its price point. I've been dying to try Bar La Rue since it opened, especially seeing their fun offerings like the caviar & creme fraiche chicken nuggets, and finally went there last night on a date. From the start, we had an 8:45 reservation, yet weren't seated until past 9pm. They didn't offer us a drink while we were waiting or anything, literally just watched other people go in. When we finally were let in, we were placed at the table directly next to both the loudspeaker and the kitchen. So not only was the music blasting in our ears, but literally every two seconds staff was moving about two feet from us. We were frustrated but figured whatever because at least the food would be good, right? Nope. I'm not gonna sit here and say it was gross, because it was totally fine, but it was absolutely NOTHING to write home about. The caviar was low quality and fishy, the nugget not even fried well enough to have a decent crunch. The lobster roll was cold and uninspired, lacking not only butter, but anything to make it stand out at all. Now for the worst part: we got 2 chicken nuggets, ONE plate off the "snack" menu, 2 entrees, and 4 drinks, and it was $272 with a 20% tip. $272!!! Let's put that into perspective: you could go to a top 5 restaurant in the city, get their finest steak, a massive side, and 2-3 glasses of wine and it would be LESS expensive than this. I am not someone who tends to write reviews in general unless a place REALLY pushes me one way or another, and I have to say, this is one of those times. The only positives were that the restaurant itself was cute, and the waiter was very nice and helpful. Otherwise - it's a miracle I'm not calling my card company to get a chargeback because this meal, even with 4 drinks, was worth MAYBE $150 and that's still pushing it.    It was just ok. The vibes were better than the food. We were seated at a table in the corner and I think our server forgot us a few times. Plus there was another table nearby with some raucous guests that were so loud, it made it difficult to hear the people at our own table.

   Kenia went above and beyond with our service. She was so kind, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered a bottle of rose and her top menu recommendations. As a first timer, I’ll be back!

   We waited at the bar for our reservation time. We were promptly seated once our time had come. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and courteous. The drinks were good and the food was even better. We thoroughly enjoyed the smoked trout dip and frites. The weather was nice so we enjoyed being sat near the open windows. Overall the experience was great!

   Good place for drinks and nice ambiance. Only issue was the tables were too close together and a door kept slamming due to high wind.

   Great time! Great food and wonderful service! We had a large group of 11 people and our server was fantastic, never an empty drink.

    loved the food, loved the service, but omigod the noise level was unbelievable. the music was too loud which in turn led patrons to literally be screaming across each other. tables are set up very close to each other so it made for a not so pleasant experience.
