   Basant was able to accommodate a party of 14 on a Friday night. We had such a wonderful experience throughout the whole process. For larger groups, it requires more organization and planning. They were so accommodating and communicated clearly and quickly via text and/or email. We had to pre-order our food a day prior so it was coursed out accordingly and allowed our night to be stress free from ordering at the restaurant. That planning worked out extremely well! We were still able to order cocktails and / or supplemental items, but everything was timed appropriately. Our server Izzy was very attentive and helpful. Staff was great, and the service was quick! Now, the food and the cocktails were phenomenal. From fried chicken to paneer makhni to fish and chips. Spice level was great, although I wish we had gone spicy on all dishes instead of medium, but that was in fear of an unknown chef. It was great nevertheless and we enjoyed our evening very much!    This is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is excellent, as are the unique cocktails. Atmosphere is lively (at least on a Friday night). Service was attentive and fast.

   An absolute gem: beautiful decor, attentive service, quiet enough to enjoy a conversation even when crowded. And the food…vibrant creatively blended spices and seasonings in every dish. Loved the Fish Basant with its coconut milk spiked with habenera. Loved the buttery fish and chips with a hint of garlic. Loved the mushroom and truffle naan. This place is a must for food lovers or anyone who wants a fun affordable night out in a beautiful setting.

   The food was divine and so good!!! Also loved the cocktails. However, we had a reservation and were not seated until 45 minutes after our reservation which was disappointing.

   We tried 3 different cocktails the lamb chops, duck breast, and tandoori chicken tikka - all amazing! Great service and ambiance as well. We will definitely be back!

   I have been to Basant in the past and seems that food preparation has changed since I last visited. The appetizer kulcha was prepared as a naan. Also the Aloo Tikki was too spicy. Although the food was tasty- the kheer dessert excellent, I think you should reconsider your spice levels. My daughter was at dinner and could not tolerate the subzi we ordered mild. And we are Indian and thought the mild was more of a medium level. Your staff/space and service was excellent, but not sure if I will be returning.

   Lamb chops were very nice and done right. But rest of the food was on the sweeter side maybe because of too much cinnamon in every dish. Breads were done very good too.

   We had a great experience at Basant. Everything was delicious. The staff was kind and attentive and made good recommendations. Good portions too. Missed Samosas on the menu but hopefully they’ll bring those back .
