When the original Bascom came to Florida at the turn of the last century to help Henry Flagler build the Key West Railroad, he brought with him his love for thick cut chops and juicy steaks. During his travels he also discovered the bounties of fresh native Florida seafood.

We have brought all of his favorites together in a true American Chop House that pays tribute to Bascom's hearty appetite and a passion for great steaks, chops and fresh seafood.

In his honor, we have made Bascom's Chop House a comfortable, yet elegant, American restaurant. We are proud to offer a superbly crafted wine list and American Mid-Western beef, aged to our own exacting specifications to ensure the most tender and flavorful steaks served anywhere at any price. And, true to our Bascom's Chop House name, we also offer hand-cut veal, pork and lamb chops all prepared to perfection, as well as a great selection of native seafood delivered fresh daily.

    Our waitress Carla was funny, attentive, and joyful. Although we sat in three bar area and it's loud there, the food was delicious. Several managers stopped by to check on us throughout the meal.

    Horrible fiid, they ran out of everything we came in for on the NYE special menu, replacements were inedible. We thought the waiter was lousy, but figured out it was kitchen and management. Someone got promoted who shouldn't have.

    We really enjoy this restaurant. We did request a quiet table when we booked our reservations and this was not honored. We were seated next to a large group that was very loud. When asked if we could sit at a different table that was available, we were told we could not. There were many other tables available. The loud table with a cackling woman made our experience less than desirable. I did order the king cut prime rib which was extremely fatty. I asked to have it switched out for a better cut and the new cut was perfect!!! As always, the food was delicious and our server was great.

    We’ve been to Bascom’s several times, including last night for NYE. Service, as always, is impeccable. Food selection is excellent and cooked to perfection. Will always be in our top 3 restaurants when we dine out.

    We were seated as soon as we arrived and our servers (Michael) were great. Everyone loved their selections for the 4 courses. Although pricey, it was worth it for the Gastronomic Experience. Everyone was polite and treated us like royalty.

    We booked our New Years Eve dinner there. The cost including tip was $300. We both had to send our steak back because it was full of griddle. The filet was much better but the entire meal was not worth the money. Our first & last Bascom experience for sure. Back to the Salt Rock Grill, Middle Grounds & the Urban Stillhouse we go. Bye bye Bascoms !!!!!!
