   We went to the bistro a couple of years ago for breakfast and dinner. Both meals were outstanding. We were back in Lansing two years later and again visited the bistro. The food is still delicious, and I would recommend Batter Up Bistro to anyone who enjoys delicious food prepared by an outstanding chef and owner, Cari

   Food is always amazing, literally the cutest restaurant in Lansing, drinks were amazing it just took forever to get said drinks, we will definitely go back again!

   This was our first time trying Batter Up Bistro. It was our anniversary so we wanted something special and quaint. This place did not disappoint. The meals we got were delicious and the service was excellent! We definitely will be back!

   This lovely bistro was a surprise in Lansing but signified the efforts of the city to emerge from the depressed state it has been in. The restaurant is small and cozy, very well decorated. The bar is large with an impressive cocktail list. The menu is varied and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend Batter Up Bistro!

   The food was a amazing , the chef even made some special vegetarian menu for our guest and they loved it! Very nice, relaxed and comfy atmosphere, so niceto have such a gem in Lansing!!

   We were seated outside on the patio for Mother’s Day. It was the only available option when I booked the reservation. We were the only people seated outside though there did appear to be available tables inside. One other person was seated outside shortly before we left. We felt like we were the forgotten table. It was buffet for Mother’s Day so the food was “help yourself,” but otherwise service was slow. Perhaps we will try another time when it isn’t buffet and we can sit inside.

   We made a reservation for Mother's Day. The reservation REQUIRED a specification for either the menu or the buffet. We chose the menu. Upon arrival, our greeting was a frown and "do you have a reservation?" It was very unwelcoming. We should have left. We gave them the name and were seated in a spot that was too small for a table. There were three of us, they pushed a small table, almost into the back of a patron seated at another table, then added a third chair to the small table. The back of the third chair (opposite the other patron) was actually under the edge of the bar. I'm not kidding, my son (an adult) had to sit with his head forward, careful not to put it back an hit the bar, the whole time. We should have left. We sat down and were ignored. I flagged down a waitress and asked for menus and was told it was only buffet. I told her the reservation was for the menu. She was unfriendly, and said no, we could only have the buffet. We should have left, but it was Mother's Day and we didn't know if we could get in anywhere else. Not at any point did anyone say "Help your self to the buffet", or offer any information about what it included, or ask if anyone wanted coffee or anything. The buffet wasn't good, two of the nine dishes were fish, two were empty, three were cold dishes. I can't have fish, so that left me with fruit, cold potatos, chicken salad, and scrambled eggs that smelled fishy. We should have left. We each had a little to eat, and it wasn't good. My husband went to pay and the bill was $144 dollars, for three people. We left hungry and very bugged, and out $144. Do not ever go to Batter Up Bistro on a buffet holiday! Not one staff member smiled or said nice word, not even a "Happy Mothers day", to me. Buffet was very limited and very expensive. That said-Batter Up Bistro has some good food on their menu. Go on a regular day.
