Out of passion, tradition, hard work and integrity, Bavaro’s opened its doors in March 2009 as the first traditional Neapolitan Pizzeria in the state of Florida. Determined to share their family recipes with the world, Dan Bavaro, his wife Anna-Maria, and their five beautiful children packed their U-Haul, left their friends and family, drove from New Jersey to Tampa, and set out to provide for others the same love, energy, and authenticity that they experience around their own dinner table.

I always enjoy Bavaro’s. I love sitting outside when it is cool and the menu choices are great. The one drawback is that the service is somewhat unreliable and very slow. The servers are nice but drinks take a while and come after appetizers, etc. I want to love it. I have been there around 10 times and there are always a few issues.

Another fabulous Friday pizza night at Bavaro's Sarasota with our fave server, Steven, who with Doug, leads a team of amazing staffers. The music on the patio, while familiar &:excellent, can se a little loud, but it also creates a welcoming environment that customers seem to love.

Another fabulous Friday pizza night at Bavaro's Sarasota with our fave server, Steven, who with Doug, leads a team of amazing staffers. Best wood-fired Pizza Napolitana you will find. Delicious as always! We all got pizzas, they came out quick and were yummy. They were very accommodating as well, we started outside but it got windy and colder so we were able to move inside.

As always the food and service was great. Nice cool night and sat outside by the fireplace. David was a great server and very attentive.

We can’t believe we didn’t know they were downtown. Best restaurant find! Authentic Italian. Beautifully decorated. Service was great and they had live music. Can’t wait to go back!
