Out of passion, tradition, hard work and integrity, Bavaro’s opened its doors in March 2009 as the first traditional Neapolitan Pizzeria in the state of Florida. Determined to share their family recipes with the world, Dan Bavaro, his wife Anna-Maria, and their five beautiful children packed their U-Haul, left their friends and family, drove from New Jersey to Tampa, and set out to provide for others the same love, energy, and authenticity that they experience around their own dinner table.

Doug did an outstanding job of taking care of us again. HH drinks were very good at a great price. Entrees were good as usual.

We love Bavaro’s! The food and atmosphere are always wonderful. Unfortunately, one of the chef’s left early last night and the food orders were very backed up. For a 7:30 reservation, we finally received our entrees last, at 8:15pm, though we were not the last couple seated, and should have received our entrees in the correct queue. And, when the food was ready, the server brought our food to the wrong table. We were patient and our waitress took 20% off our bill, which we did not ask for, but was a very nice gesture. Again we also can’t complain since we had purchased their Black Friday gift card special which gave us $100.00 of free dining. Slips happen and we will be back since we truly do love that restaurant. We are very glad that they are open and survived the hurricane!

Bavaro's of Sarasota is absolutely the best of the best - our every Friday night dining feast. From their authentic wood-fired Pizza Napolitana, to a wide array of uniquely prepared appetizers and main dishes, they are sure to satisfy every craving. Be sure to save room for dessert where you will enjoy delicious cannolis made from scratch in their own kitchen, along with gelato and more, and the best espresso anywhere for a smooth and satisfying finish. Enjoy indoor or covered patio dining where the weekly music provides a perfect setting to relax, eat and enjoy.

Ah, the aroma from a wood-burning pizza oven!! We stepped into Italy! Loved the Limoncello pizza with the Bolognese on housemade pasta a delight. Great service!

Was a little disappointed I reserved upstairs and they sat us outside. The fireplace was nice and music was good. Service was a little slow with all the tables.

We visit Bavaro's of Sarasota every Friday evening where they serve the best wood-fired Pizza Napolitana you will find, coupled with a staff and service excellence that is second to none. However, don't stop at that, as the menu is filled with deliciously creative appetizers and uniquely prepared entrees sure to please; and, be sure to save room for dessert! Bavaro's even makes their own tiramisu and cannoli in- house - even the shells - providing the best finish ever with a dessert cocktail, a cup of coffee or espresso sure to please. Mangia and enjoy!

hi! so we freaking loved steve and doug. they are amazing and deserve a raise!!!! drinks were so good, food was okay. big issue was that our reservation was at 8:30p and we got sat at 9:30p. And yes, they normally close at 9p lol. there was a nice lil message sent out via open table from bavaros about it being NYE and sticking to timings and yet we were not sat for one full hour after our scheduled dinner time. our family is incredibly fortunate to visit many dining establishments and we understand running behind but 60 minutes was A LOT. there was a 6 top that sat empty the entire time we were posted up at the bar waiting for our table and we didn’t venture upstairs to check and see the status up there. we did inquire with the hostess and she said it was being sat by another party, but we never saw the other party. do feel bad for them since they def waited longer than we did 😂 we would probably return to sit at the bar but don’t think we would come back to dine as there’s really no point in making a reservation. food was also only okay. pizza crust was torched black in some parts and undercooked on the underside. meatballs were so so. vodka pasta was a 15/10. sad because their staff was SO fun.
