Out of passion, tradition, hard work and integrity, Bavaro’s opened its doors in March 2009 as the first traditional Neapolitan Pizzeria in the state of Florida. Determined to share their family recipes with the world, Dan Bavaro, his wife Anna-Maria, and their five beautiful children packed their U-Haul, left their friends and family, drove from New Jersey to Tampa, and set out to provide for others the same love, energy, and authenticity that they experience around their own dinner table.

Another fabulous Friday night at Bavaro's of Sarasota. The food, the staff and the ambiance all perfectly executed. Their Pizza Napolitana is by far the best of all the rest. Highly recommend Bavaro's of Sarasota.

Been here a few times the food and service were good but today was terrible. Had reservation and was promptly seated but no service for 15 minutes. Finally asked for someone to wait on us. The front took our order since they felt bad for us. Different people delivered food. Waitress showed up once to check on us and to bring the bill after we had been waiting for a box to go for leftovers. I’m not sure I’ll go again since very turned off with the terrible service! Plenty of other good Italian restaurants around! Very disappointed!

We love Bavaro's. This is our 2nd visit in the span of a year, and it didn't disappoint. The upstairs space is very original- in the best way. Our server Steven, who we also had the pleasure of meeting last year, was again, excellent. Very personable and hard-working. And we are still amazed that he can carry a full-to-the-top cocktail up a flight of 20 stairs (taking them 2 steps at a time, very quickly!) without spilling a single drop. Speaking of cocktails, we enjoyed a Manhattan and an Espresso Martini- both were great. The meatball appetizer was so good - I could have made a meal of it. We also enjoyed Penne in Vodka Sauce and a pasta Bolognese. The portions were quite large so we brought some home so we could leave room for dessert. Husband ordered 3 cannoli which ended up being full-size - had to bring 2 of them home as well. All in all, great experience and food and we'll be back again.

READ THROUGH THE REVIEWS. A COUPLE “MUSIC TOO LOUD” COMPLAINTS WITH MANAGEMENT’S LAME RESPONSE OF SORRY. SORRY YOU FELT THAT WAY. HAHA ************ Some guy blaring an amplified guitar table conversation impossible. Management’s written response to this comment was “Sorry to hear about that.” Sorry? Ultimately, the customer is always right. I’ll be telling 10 other people about this.

We really had a great time! We enjoyed our pizza and wine. The atmosphere was lively and upbeat. There was live music and plenty of interesting looking cocktails going by.

As always wonderful. The wait for our food tonight was an hour…. Too long. But our server came out with extra bread and basil oil which was delicious and a good help for our hunger. We never complained and then our food came within 5 minutes. We asked for the bill and our server said we waited much too long and discounted our final bill by 55%! Bavaro’s and our server did the right thing and we never mentioned a word. Sometimes it just pays to be patient. See you all again on our next trip back! Love your food and vibe there!❤️

Food took way too long to come out. Appetizers took almost 45 min to come out. Server was nice though.
