   Becco is always hectic,always crowded, always loud, but still a great vibe - they know you need to get out in time for 8pm curtain and take care that this happens- food is excellent- if you want a quiet dinner go after 8 or early in evening- Becco is just fun —your table is small close to another and before long you are chatting with these neighbors- if you choose!

   We arrived 15 minutes late for our reservation and we were concerned because we had to make a show. They made us wait and they assured us that we would still make the show. We did get seated and we did make our show with time to spare that’s the good news. The other good news was that the hot food the chicken Parm and the pasta was very good and the drinks came fast and that was the good parts. Now for the really confusing part, we weren’t sure if there was a cognitive dissonance between us and the waitress and her manager. We ordered a salad with no onions, but twice they brought us a salad with extra onions. And then they insisted that we have must’ve had an onion allergy and we should know we do not have an onion allergy. We just don’t want onions. They tried to serve us the same salad twice not understanding That we didn’t want the onions, but we wanted the white beans and they try to explain to us that the white beans and the onions were a part of dressing that was already pre-mixed in which case we said, we don’t want the onions therefore we don’t want the beans cause they’re mixed with the onions so they finally realized OK. We want a salad without the beans and the onions in which case they brought us out a bunch of lettuce on a plate with no cucumbers, no tomatoes nothing just basically stick your hand in a bag and pop it on a plate. At this point, we were very frustrated and just said you know what forget the salad and they looked at us like we were crazy . But wait, this was only half of the confusing part. This was getting comedic at this point. We wanted to share a pasta, a chicken Parm and salad so at this point we just gave up on the salad. However, what we failed to understand is that you can’t order just one pasta … shall I go on. ? and then the pasta came which they bring to the table in a hot sauté pan , but I really felt like we had three heads and just didn’t get it, but the food was good and we made the show.

   Excellent food & experience for our group! Everyone enjoyed their meals & prompt service. Reservations were key as restaurant was packed. Noise level made it a bit difficult to talk with all members of our group. Would definitely eat here again!

   BECCO IS My Favorite Italian Restaurant in NYC This particular Friday we went to enJOY the Lobster Fra Diavolo. Chef Billy did not disappoint, it was Fantabulous! The specials of the day are the way to go and the light seasoned/breading on the fish was amazing The shrimp appetizer and the Sinfonia di Paste mid-course were all perfect complements too our specials Make a reservation EARLY on OpenTable an experience BECCO where Lidia Bastianich's recipes come to Life under the direction of Chef William Gallagher and a most welcoming & Professional Staff

    Consistency is the word here. Always good. Large portions, good service. Ask to. E seated on the 2md floor balcony.
