A unique cultural history has helped to make Lebanese food the most popular of all Middle Eastern cuisines. For most of its past, Lebanon has been ruled by foreign powers that have influenced the types of food the Lebanese ate. From 1516 to 1918, the Ottoman Turks controlled Lebanon and introduced a variety of foods that have become staples in the Lebanese diet, including olive oil, fresh bread, baklava (a sweet pastry dessert), laban (homemade yogurt), stuffed vegetables, and a variety of nuts. The Ottomans also increased the popularity of lamb.

After the Ottomans were defeated in World War I (1914–1918), France took control of Lebanon until 1946, when the country won its independence. During this time, the French introduced some of their most widely eaten foods, particularly treats such as flan, a caramel custard dessert dating back to the 1500s, and buttery croissants.

Wonderful staff and service, great food, wine was delicious. Food was a little pricey for Lebanese but considering where it was in London then it wasn't badly priced. A wonderful evening there.

Only one other person in restaurant and he was loud in conversation on his laptop. Eventually I had to snap at him to keep his voice down. He seemed only to be consuming a cup of coffee in his hour or so there. The staff should have dealt with him rather than me. Soulless being so empty but food was good and pretty good value too. No complaints on that score.

The restaurant added a cover charge. I’ve never experienced this with any booking through top table. Just a joke. On top of this they then added an additional 20% service charge. Very disappointed in the lack of transparency from the restaurant and the app.

The food was amazing, unfortunately our waiter seemed like he didn’t want us in the restaurant and seemed moody and off with us.

Warning to diners at lunch: make sure you are given the lunch vs dinner menu. Lunch menu is cheaper. according to restaurant lunch menu is reserved for “harrods and take out only”. Neither is true. When I asked, they fumbled with their answers vs. offering me the lunch price after I paid already. It’s a pity bc I like the food here. Will not return for this reason alone. Will not support this type of treatment.

Great Lebanese food and efficient and friendly service in a very central location at very reasonable prices. Ambience could be better and the entrance door should not remain open on a cold London night. Also deserts were limited.

Lovely staff who put up with our noisy kids, and the food was great to boot. A couple more little kid friendly options might have been good, but we were very happy. Thank you team!
