A casual Italian(ish) eatery in the heart of Old Strathcona. Food inspired by the traditions and culture of Italy, cooked with modern techniques and ingredients.

Produce is chosen and cooked when it is shining the brightest. Seasonal vegetables are treated to showcase their quality. A selection of handmade pasta made from Alberta flour. Proteins in large format made for sharing, just like at Nona’s table. And tiramisu, who can forget!

I would not recommend the Chef’s Experience. It felt like we were served items that weren’t selling, rather than a thoughtfully curated menu. Out of the five dishes we were served, only one was enjoyable, which is disappointing for a $200 meal for two (including a bottle of wine). When we requested to replace one dish, we were met with an unhelpful response, essentially being told, 'you get what you get.' Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing and not worth the price.

Awesome food, and really, really great service. We booked a group for the semi private dining area downstairs; the preset menu was very good value, everything was delicious, and our waiter was exceptional and super accommodating with our group.

I am not sure that I have ever had quite as much garlic/garlic options in one meal: the use of garlic was varied; the dishes interesting; and the service, very good. Great to watch staff prepare the food from our high top. Not sure when I can make a public appearance without overpowering them with my garlic breath - but that's a first world problem! Enjoyed!

Had the chefs choice menu and everything was great. Server was knowledgeable about wine and the food. I saw the gnocchi going out to tables and will definitely be back to try that next time. Thanks for a nice evening out.
