A perfect Valentine's Day experience. Food was delicious, wine was wonderful, and they even kept the flowers I bought for my girlfriend safe while we had our meal. No complaints, will recommend to my friends and colleagues.

Outstanding food and great service. The drinks were a bit pricy for their quality/strength, but the food was amazing. I definitely recommend trying the Escargots De Bourgogne appetizer and Bouillabaisse main!

I booked BDJ for a Valentine’s Day dinner. The place was packed so the noise level was moderate, so it didn’t really feel intimate. However, the food was excellent. I had the fixed holiday menu which was an outstanding deal: a five-course meal at $79, including caviar, lamb shank, and a delicious raspberry shortcake. My partner had a chicken dish from the regular menu and molten cake for dessert. The service was very prompt and friendly. I would come again for the food and service alone and it is probably quieter on regular nights.

service was exceptional! attentive but not hovering. The French onion soup was the best I've had outside of France--not too much bread, delicious onion broth/onions and lots of perfectly browned cheese. Creme Brûlée and chocolate soufflé were also excellent, as were the quiche and salmon. Very good wine and cocktail menu, and the food menu, while not exhaustive, had variety and everyone in our party had trouble deciding between several dishes they were sure they would like. We went for late lunch and easily found street parking, but suspect that was luck, but Hotel Sonesta has a garage--did not ask if they validated parking. While not cheap, very reasonable for quality and quantity of food--portions were reasonable, but not the huge portions sometimes offered to make up for inferior quality at some restaurants. We were first-time diners but will definitely be back!

Sat at the bar and intended to have dinner and spend a good part of the evening there. The bar tender was unnecessary rude, not attentive, and curt from the get go. Got 1 drink and an app and thought perhaps it was just a bad day for him but it continued and we left and got dinner somewhere else. It was actually appalling how unfriendly and inattentive he was. We left solely bc of him. The apps were excellent and food looked like it would have been great. But not giving my $ to someone like that.

Beautiful space, service and presentation. Now if only the food were as good. We split the mussels appetizer, green salad, fluke and dessert. While the salad and dessert were excellent, the mussels were tiny, the sauce was heavy on herbs and tasted like there was a meat base. The fluke was also heavy on the ginger, which overwhelmed the dish. Once the chef works out the menu, I would be willing to come back.

Had a good experience at Bistro du Jour. The food was well prepared and interesting (had never seen duck au poivre before). Portions were on the smaller side, but then it was restaurant week, so I can't say what they would be normally. Still, we didn't leave hungry. Could use a touch more French authenticity by serving freshly baked baguettes (and not for an extra charge). When we asked for baguette and butter, what we got was basically sliced and toasted stale bread that was likely intended for their garlic bread appetizer. Also, we had to ask for silverware after receiving food and also had to wait a bit for our wine, after the glasses were brought to the table. So service could use some more attentiveness and synchronization. But overall, we were happy and will be back.
