It has been awhile but I have been dining at this establishment for years and the food quality and service never disappoints. Cocktails are exceptional with a large sake menu. It a hidden gem in yaletown and absolutely quite fabulous. The only negativity is discomforting is the owner/sushi chef makes fabulous food but probably needs to chill. Seems temperamental which can be slightly uncomforting for others to witness. Points lost on that part of the ambiance. But Overall a job well done.

Bistro Sakana is the number one real authentic Japan sushi restaurant in Yaletown. Chef Yama makes the best and delicious sushi. Anyone come by Yaletown should try it out.

The absolutely best place for sushi in Vancouver. The food is always excellent quality and the staff are so polite and attentive that I wouldn’t go anywhere else. We ordered a mix of items from rolls to gyoza to nigiri to tempura, all of which were well presented, good portions and very tasty. Excellent value for money. Keep up the great work guys!!

Simply outstanding! Some of the best sushi we’ve ever had. Unbelievably tender, rich tuna (try the bluefin trio). The smoked duck breast was sous vide to perfection, and the wagyu with fried garlic chips was amazing. We will be back!
