    Really the last tango, our final visit to the restaurant. We came here in mid September and in just a month, the price of most items increased by more than 10%, a week shy of the final service of the restaurant. Also, the custard dessert is definitely worse than previous visits; something is missing. Having said that the steak is the best of all our visits and through lettuce salad is never disappointing. Service is attentive as always. The table next to us is very very loud; we can hardly our own conversation; not the best experience and not a perfect finish.

    This was one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Food was so delicious, here is what we ate: • steak bernaise • duck frites • beef tartare (main size) • Chicken Liver pate • Fromage (they had this triple brie from Lyon) My friend had a Tom Collins (with yuzu) and I had a chablis and one of the red wines from france. The portions were generous, the food was delicious, the vibes were wonderful and the staff was very helpful. I would go back if I could but I heard they are closing soon, which saddens me to no end. But 100% rate this place and I hope they open up shop again soon!

    This wasn’t my first visit to Bistrot 916, with the last time being an impeccable experience. Tonight was sub-par at best, no quality issues with food or drink, however the service was very poor. When you charge 10% for groups of 6 or more you’d expect a certain level of service. We were asked to be gone by 7pm (making our booking a 90 minute sitting), when it was under my impressions (and the booking terms) that groups of 5 or more had 2.5hrs of sitting time. we were taking our time ordering food and drink and would have ordered more however we felt pressured to leave. frustrating experience especially considering we were disappointed it would be closing in the coming weeks. not the best experience to remember it by…

    Came in for my bday with a crew and sat out side. Food was sensational as per usual, and the the staff were absolute legends. Easy going, happy to have a laugh and always attentive. Love bistro so much please don’t close downnnn :(((

    I have been to Bistrot 916 multiple times and always loved the food, ambiance and service. On this occasion I was disappointed with incredibly rude service from one older male in particular. Initially I asked for sparking water for the table and he brought 2 glasses for my partner and I, I then asked for additional tap water and he slammed the glass of sparking water on the table which spilt everywhere, took it away and then rudely said words to the affect of“ this is why I asked”. We were incredibly shocked by this as we have always had such great service at the restaurant. Following this we were served by another waiter who was lovely and the food was incredible. Shame about the initial waiter which tainted our experience.

    The food is always fab at Bistrot916 but I want to particularly commend the service on this particular visit. Sydney service can often be very underwhelming but each and every staff member provided impeccable service - from making sure the table was set perfectly, that all menu items were explained in detail, helpful food recommendations and just overall being proactive rather than waiting to be asked. Most of all they were super friendly! As always - the specials are the real main event!
