   The booth by the window: friendly privacy without over the top intimacy. Allowed for catching up with a friend (work drama, family adventures, etc.) without that feeling I was telling the whole restuarant my business. That was surprising given the floor plan.

   Wonderful service! Very attentive staff. We weren’t rushed so that we could relax during our leisurely lunch. We each enjoyed our delicious poke bowl and yummy shared chocolate cake. We will be back and will recommend others looking for a great lunch location. Thank you!

   Excellent food. Shrimp scampi was delicious. Service was also excellent. Server was helpful and friendly.

   The food was good, and the service was great. Be sure to make a dinner reservation, or you might not get in. So crowded there.

   First of all -- I didn't need another reason to review The Black Cow. The sushi is always fantastic, the service is consistently great and the ambience, not to mention Newburyport home-grown location is wonderful. What motivates me to give a 5-Star review is the amazing experience we had last night. Firstly, we were 15- min late for our 6:15 reservations and there was no parking. One of the Managers -- called to verify our reservations and upon my telling him that I was having trouble parking he OFFERED to give me his parking spot --!!! True to his word, I met Derek at the location I was told and voila -- he gave me his spot. We were seated at one of the lovely window seats and as I was looking around for Derek (to thank him), he came to our table and gave me a gift card my sister had pre-arranged to have waiting for me! We weren't celebrating anything special other than a catch-up so, having the red carpet rolled out for my niece and myself was just, well -- unexpected and lovely. Our Waiter Ashleigh continued the fine service we were used to -- thank you!. Just couldn't pass up sending kudos to Derek -- and to the Sushi Chef (The Newburyport & Spicy Salmon Rolls are outstanding!) Our yummy Salads from the Kitchen and Plum Island Sour from the Bar were top notch, too. Thanks to the staff at The Black Cow for going the extra mile to ensure this customer remains a loyal customer. :) What a team!

   Beautiful location, with a very nice and varied menu. Server was very attentive. We definitely will return next time we are in Newburyport!

    Our first time here Saturday night and we loved it. Food was excellent and the sushi was super fresh. Service was on the slower side but we were not in a hurry so it didn't bother us.
