   Would highly recommend the Black Dog Bar and Grille, the service was excellent, our waitress was prompt and personable, our dinners were excellent and reasonably priced. We will definitely eat there again.

   My daughter just bought a house in Pomfret. This was our first time at this restaurant. Everything was great!! The food service and vibe! I will be back soon with the family!

   Black Dog continues to expand to accommodate more diners. The restaurant was very crowded but they have a great system of teamwork to handle the delivery of food. You’d think they’d be overwhelmed but they aren’t. Food was great. Two of our party got the filet—have to get the sizzler version.

   We’ve been there a few times every time is good. It’s the type of restaurant that’s busy and at times noisy. But that’s to be expected in this environment. A lot of good energy and our waitress was amazing. Good time had by all we will be returning soon.

   Seated in room with no ambiance. Lacked expectationfor Valentines Day celebration. Real disappointment. Waitress rushed us through meal. Poor overall experience. Do not recommend.

   The staff here is absolutely awesome! Very friendly & accommodating. I asked to move my seat and they did so without question. Our Server MK was GREAT! Now the food-we ordered burnt ends appetizer. It was DELICIOUS as was my BF's Filet Mignon. My Prime Rib was another story. Meat was was so cold, the garlic butter on top didnt even melt and had to return to kitchen. Came back not much better. The au jus [which is a KEY part of Prime Rib] was Terrible! Was cold and tasteless. They gave me another from kitchen. It's came out warmer but tasted like every meat they cook there, including the BBQ, watered down. I will definitely be returning but won't be ordering Prime Rib.

   This has been our go to place to go out to eat. The food and service is always excellent. Staff is pleasant and quick to tend to diners needs or wants. The managers routinely check on us when eating to make sure everything is to our satisfaction. Well worth the extra money going out to eat.

    It was a very busy night ! But out Waitress McKenna was on point ! Food came out pipping hot.
