Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's.

We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times.

    Food, service and surroundings were fabulous as always. Once again my garlic allergy was taken account of and changing part of my starter's ingredients was no trouble. Will definitely go back.

    I have been to Blacklock City several times, and have never been disappointed. The food and drinks were all excellent. My favourites (in no particular order) are the pre chop bites / pork rib / Blacklock burger / sirloin / prime rib / all in / Blacklock Sundays / white chocolate cheesecake / old fashioned cocktails. Not to be consumed all at once, but if you think you can manage them all, I wish you the very best! The servers were very attentive and engaging. And even helped celebrated my birthday with a freebie. Have a birthday celebration there and you'll see!

    From start to finish, our visit to Blacklock City was exceptional. The atmosphere was fantastic, and we felt warmly welcomed right from the moment we arrived. The food was to die for, both the steaks beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The team truly went above and beyond, and our waitress, Andrea, was outstanding. She was attentive, friendly, and professional, making our dinner feel extra special. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

    Although we waited a bit for staff to serve and lead us to the table, the rest of the eating in experience was amazing. They were all very friendly, and the food was good as always.

    The most amazing Sunday roast we’ve ever had. The staff were super friendly and accomodating. I would recommend to anyone that finds themselves in London on a Sunday.

    Absolutely fabulous, the waiters for engaging and lovely. As Aussies we wanted to experience a real traditional Sunday roast and this did not disappear. We got the 'all in' feast and it was amazing. So glad we went!
