   Loved the first experience at Blacklock :) The bone marrow was lovely, a great ambience in the restaurant. Quite lively. The Blacklock fillet was perfectly cooked, despite being a little too salty which we thought was unusual, but we had a lovely meal nonetheless... Great cocktails too!!! We will definitely return to try other cuts of the steak :)

   Great food at very reasonable prices. I think we received Monday evening discounts but even at that the All in menu was very well priced

   Butchers Monday great price on prime rib for three and the chips were excellent. As I had never had the cheesecake order a serving which was large and delicious

   Loved our Sunday Roast. Very special experience. Blacklock is a lively and comfortable place. Marta was amazing. She was charming, friendly and very attentive.

   It was our first visit to Blacklock Shoreditch as it has always been fully booked on previous attempts to reserve a table The Sunday roast was excellent , we both had the Beef which was wonderful and all the trimmings were also very good We had a great bottle of Pinot noir and at £40 was good value The best though was yet to come, the cheesecake was superb Overall great value at just over £100 We both can’t wait to return

   When food is priced per 100g and they quote £22 for a filet steak and you enquire what weight the filet will be and they quote you 180g to 220g then you would expect to receive a substantial piece of meat and to be charged £40 to £46. That was what I expected to pay and was happy with that. What came out was the smallest cut of beef I have ever eaten which could have weighed no more than 100g. I was charged £22 which is consistent with the weight brought out but not what I wanted for my meal. As all our food came together I was not prepared to eat on my own by sending it back so ate it but it wholly unsatisfying and I finished before everyone else. Disappointed.

    Had the All in (like I do every time). The chops were succulent and cooked to perfection. The bread at the bottom was, as always, freaking delicious! Sides of Kale and Parmesan (with enough parmesan to negate the health proprieties of the kale), Winter slaw (lovely acidity to cut through the richness of the meat) and coal roasted beets (great combination of smoky beets, smooth goats curd and strong grated horseradish). All of them compliment the meat. What did steal the show for me however, and hear me out, was the barbecue cauliflower chop. All garlicky and charred and delicious. Service was impeccable. The right amount of attentiveness. Banter was good. Overall, a charming lunch in a bloody good restaurant.
