Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old brothel, we take the best meat in the country from the award winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Sunday Roast almost as good as Mum's.

    Service was friendly and the food was quick. The Sunday Roast portion was big enough for 2 people. It's our first time trying Sunday Rosst but the beef was just ok. The pie was good. The place was quite vibrant but could be quite noisy. Reservations needed.

    We did the all in Sunday roast for 3 & we didn’t get much food, definitely not like photos shown, ours wasn’t heaping. All in you get pork, beef & lamb, but I only got 1 piece of lamb never got to try the other 2 meats because they only gave us 2 slices of those, and there were 3 of us. There were lots of greens, but only 1 potato for me too, not much carrots. All in all, didn’t live up to what we were expecting, so it was disappointing. I booked our reservation almost 6 months in advance and was really looking forward to this meal.

    The heartfelt service and cozy atmosphere stood out at this place. It’s somewhere I’d love to visit again. The friendly staff and relaxing ambiance made the food even more special. The cheesecake is absolutely the best—make sure to try it:)

    Extremely slow service—three tables seated after us were served their food before us. We waited 40–50 minutes, and our drinks were served 20 minutes after ordering. When I asked the waiter why other tables had been served before us, he dismissively replied that those tables had ordered chops…. I won’t be coming back …

    Absolutely fabulous meal.!! Shared the all in option great value for money. The chips were the best I’ve ever had.Staff very friendly and approachable, will definitely be back again.

    The all-on roast was great as usual and visiting guests from my family really enjoyed it. We were seated next to a door that needed to be opened (storage) which was slightly annoying and a bit cold, but my father did arrive 20+ minutes early for the reservation and they gave him a seat and got him a drink which was kind.
