We came for my husband’s birthday and he ordered the filet with crabmeat. The crabmeat was bad and we brought it to the attention of our server Will and he never told the chef and charged us the whole $58. My husband didn’t eat the food . I had the bourbon glazed pork chop with mashed sweet potatoes and charred broccolini which was delicious. I had pear martini which was delicious too.

The food was ok - nobody at our table felt it was great. The service was incredibly lacking. It took more than 30 min just to get our drink orders.

We celebrated our anniversary here and the server, Patrick, was amazing and went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. Including refills, a surprise piece of cheesecake from the chef for our anniversary, dimming the lights, making it perfect. Food was outstanding !

We loved the restaurant and the design of it and the location near the Harbor. We checked in and were seated promptly. However, after that we were completely ignored. We saw a server walk around filing water glasses but he never came to our table. The same server started clearing plates from a nearby table and ignored us again. After sitting for 12 minutes with no one to take our order nor no server to great us, my boyfriend suggested we leave. He was a chef and I never see him to react to poor service but this one definitely upset him. I agreed with him. We got up and left. I told the hostess we were leaving because no one came to our table. She said nothing. We were prepared to drop $100 on brunch with cocktails but we felt if the service was that neglectful our food wasn’t worth ordering. It’s been a long time since we experienced any thing as neglectful as that. It felt like we did not exist. Horrible feeling when you want to support a restaurant. It is 10 hours later and it is hard for me to shake how bad that experience was. We are loyal Blackwall Hitch fans in Alexandria too. The experience made me enjoy home cooking for dinner to be honest, why pay if the service is lackluster to poor.

Amazing service. Rob took great care of us. We had mentioned that we needed to be out at 1pm for a team meeting. Our reservation was 12 noon, and there were 7 of us. Not only was food served in time, but it was also delicious, well plated and not rushed. Highly recommend...especially for business lunches.

Our server was very nice but overextended, and unable to keep up with the pace of so many tables and be able to enjoy a meal and under an hour. The food was dry and overcooked the scallops were the size of quarters and the polenta was soggy, the bread that came out with the crab dip was literally the same mini naan I buy at the grocery store and serve my children instead of a nice crispy bread like usual. For three people our bill was over $200. I would never go back here again and waste so much money on such poor quality food.
