Enjoyed a sumptuous Christmas Day brunch. First time at the Blind Salamander. Lovely open feel that adds spaciousness to a fairly intimate space—with floor to ceiling views out over the resort grounds (and the golf course). Buffet offering extensive choices was set up at Multiple stations. (Carving, sides, salad, cheese, seafood, dessert). Service was attentive but not stuffy. The chef personally came to each table and offered greetings. Of special note: excellent prime rib, sides like chipotle sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts and fried oysters were amazing. Also the dessert offerings had tremendous variety and were artfully crafted as well as delicious. The pastry chef went truly above and beyond. The price point was a bit on the high side for buffet style but the quality and extensive menu made it worthwhile. Will go back for dinner sometime as their cocktail menu is interesting and reviews for seafood offerings are very good.

We are here a year ago and were very impressed. Told several they should add it to their date night list in Austin. Actually loved it. But last night was almost the total opposite. Bland food. Over seasoned. Shishito peppers were the most tasteless version of the dish we have ever shared. Pasta dish was undercooked and had strange flavor. Waiter missed one of our French onions so we ate that separately. Then each time the servers brought food, they had to ask who ordered what so no system. Don’t plan on spending that much there again. Too many great places. Must be why they were almost empty on a holiday Friday.

Wonderfull Thanksgiving brunch. We attended this in 2023 as well. The only reason I didn't give it top honors this year (2024) was because the selection options were fewer and less diverse.

Thanksgiving Brunch was Phenomenal. This meal, the turkey and the sides tasted like I cooked our Thanksgiving meal. Honestly this is the first time going out that I can say that. Other people in our family had the filet, lobster salmon, all raved about the food. From appetizers to desserts you couldn’t possibly try everything. Presented elegantly and service was very attentive, didn’t feel a bit rushed. We have reservations here for Christmas brunch this year as well.

The food was really subpar. The tomato salad was ice cold the bread was wonderful. The salmon was horrible. The clams and edible. The steak tasted like Hines 57 and the twice baked potatoes were too spicy with weird weird smoke flavor. The baked Alaska was burnt.
