   Very nice spot to cap the night if you’re looking for a vibey R&B evening and some good food. The food was played very nicely and presentable. The drinks are on point. If it’s not too packed service can be really amazing. The music was hitting if you don’t mind a few songs that will get the ladies out their seat and vibing in the aisles. The lighting was just right for a mood driven meal with the occasional techno lights here and there, not too overwhelming. If you’re a single guy or out with the boys, you’ll for sure see some beautiful ladies. I had a table of beauties send me a couple cocktails. Solid 8.5/10.

   All the food was hot and ready. We enjoyed ourselves. The only thing is the charge for entertainment fee. Consider writing that disclosure that an automatic entertainment fee is added to every tab.

   Enjoyed the food and hospitality greatly. Our server, Keven, was excellent; attentive but not overly. The main dining area was super loud and we wanted to see if there was a more quiet place we could sit, and we were given the royal treatment! We will return!

   Since Blk Swan opened it’s always been a go to spot of mine. The food and atmosphere was great and consistent. I’ve had issues in the past with the service, but still enjoyed the food. This time I noticed a few weird things regarding pricing. When my friend and I received our menus there was a $1 difference in pricing, everything on her menu was $1 less than everything on mine. The waiter was able to take the menu and gave left us with the “cheaper” one. It wasn’t a problem, it was just weird and made me think. Then as we were closing out my friend noticed an “entertainment fee” of $1.50. Then another friend noticed his fee was $2.50. A group of ladies next to us had a fee of .75. We were all confused on what the entertainment fee was and why were they all different. The waiter just said it’s something the restaurant does…????? I’d never seen an entertainment fee before especially after I hadn’t been entertained!!! We literally laughed as a collective because what was that?! One top of the drinks not being consistent, and two of my friends food coming out wrong and everyone’s food was late! This was a surprising experience for Blk Swan, usually the food is consistent and the service isn’t but this time it was the other way around. The waiter was nice and his best. This experience was just weird.

   Food was delicious! We had the lamb chops, jumbo lump crab cake, salmon, Mac n Cheese, Sweet Potato casserole. Drinks were tasty (very sweet)! We had the Blk Swn, Pretty With an Attitude, Smoking Mirrors, Jamellionaire. Nice ambiance but very small on the inside. You’re basically sitting on top of each other. Also I had a 7:15 reservation and still ended up waiting another 25 minutes before being seated. My waitress was a pleasure, even though it seemed like they were short staffed especially since it was NYE. She remained professional and pleasant! I would go back for sure, but probably just sit at the bar next time.

   Where do I begin… The prices and dress code would lead you to believe this is a high end establishment, a place for a classy dinner or date. However what you actually get is a cheap club experience with dance music so loud you can barely hear the person sitting across from you speaking, keep in mind this was 7pm. The food was mediocre and under seasoned with quite small portion sizes, and for $50 on average for an entree, my group expected better. The drinks were the only good part of the evening. The bartenders are great. As for service, the waitress accidentally dipped her hair into one of the entrees as it was placed onto the table and as a consolation brought my friend a drink she didn’t want or like. But the real whammy was that we were mistakenly charged for an ENTIRE bottle of don Julio that we absolutely did not order. That was $275… As one member of the group covered the charge and the rest of us planned to divvy up the individual items the next day to pay her back, we didn’t see the charge until later after we had paid and the restaurant had closed. The next few days, we called three times, were told management would be in touch but they never called back (we gave them 5 days). An email detailing the situation was sent as well. So with a huge mistake like this on their part, they clearly don’t care at all to try and fix the issue and are perhaps hoping we just forget it. And we were charged an “entertainment fee”, we’re not sure how we were at all entertained during this poor experience. We recommend going to near by Tagliata instead, where you can find some of the best food for reasonable prices and live music played by actual musicians, where we wouldn’t mind being charged an entertainment fee.

   The bartender (Manny) was phenomenal; the food was subpar at best. I think if we hadn’t had sat at the bar, it would have been a lower rating to be honest.

   Music was way too loud for dinner conversation. We all met from NE Baltimre, Bowie and Cheverly and we had hoped for enjoyable conversation. We had to yell across our own table, this would have been ok if it was only loud for the “Happy Birthday shout outs,” but this was constantly loud and I am not good at lip reading. Our waitress recited the entire menu by memory, which was not necessary, we could read and some of us knew what we wanted already. We were not asked about dessert, which we all wanted to take to go. Our final bill was brought to us before we had the chance to order our desserts, then it had to be recalculated. Dessert order was incorrect but was corrected (took a little time.) Cornbread was tasty but was essentially dessert. Drinks and shareable appetizers took a little time which was ok but entrees came too quickly on the heels of appetizers. Water refills had to be requested. Maybe waitstaff was short staffed last night. Blk Swan did not appear or maybe that is not still “a thing?” Music choices were ok. Waitress was friendly. Food was tasty. A complimentary spirit was given. We would have tarried a while longer if atmosphere would have been a tad more conducive for conversation. I had not been there since August 2021, right after you opened. Was planning to return soon with different group of out of town friends but might have to find a quieter atmosphere. I love the concept. Love the look. Love patronizing “Black Owned.” Truly want Blk Swan to be a Charm City staple, but I had to be honest. Maybe my expectations were askew from my first visit to Black Swan.
