Blondette is a French-inspired restaurant, concepted by award-winning Chef Daniel del Prado, offering traditional French cuisine fused with Pacific Northwest ingredients. Housed in a glass-covered atrium complete with an outdoor terrace and one of Minneapolis’ only retractable roofs, Blondette invites guests to mix and mingle under the stars all year long.

In addition to dinner daily, each Saturday and Sunday, Blondette serves up elevated brunch fare from 9am - 2pm. Reservations recommended but not required. We also offer curated holiday menus for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Eve, Easter and Mother's Day.

LOCATION: Blondette is located on the 5th floor of the iconic Rand Tower Hotel, conveniently attached to the Downtown Minneapolis Skyway. Each of Rand Tower Hotel’s restaurants and bars is a destination all its own, offering locals and travelers a unique culinary journey they won’t find anywhere else.

PARKING: $10 valet parking is available with dining validation.

This restaurant could be so much more than it is. The building and space are lovely. The food is not outstanding, but it is solid. The service is slow and distinctly unprofessional for an upscale restaurant. The staff were closer to Applebee's than Le Bernadin. I expect more from Daniel del Prado. His other restaurants in Minneapolis are outstanding. Blondette is a distant cousin to Martina.

We loved the food. The first seating was very quiet and enjoyable, and the food was phenomenal. Especially the passionfruit tarte!

Mostly French inspired dishes, which were good portion size and flavorful. The weak link here, is the service which is slow; I think the pacing between when you order and when you receive your item can be improved, especially with drinks. My wife ordered an NA mocktail, which turned out to be unavailable but it took 10 minutes for our waiter to communicate that, then it was showing on the bill (it was removed after I noted the error).

The ambiance was not as moody as it’s portrayed online, leaving it kind of awkward feeling. Our waitress was super kind and friendly but the experience was odd, she didn’t come around often and when she did she didn’t gather our plates or ask if we wanted dessert, we waited over 30 min for our plates to be cleared and by that time we were desperate for the bill. We ordered the salmon ($40) and the pomme Anna (au gratin potatoes) to share. The pomme Anna was described and buttery crisp cheesey - it was that but on top of a bed of tomato sauce. It was and interesting dish to say the least the tomato soup through me off. The salmon was delicious and the high light of the evening - crispy pan seared perfectly cooked salmon BUT $40 for a 4oz slice of salmon is crazy CRAZY - with no sides!? Wild. Also why did I have to pay a deposit for a reservation!?! Also wild.

Heard great things and we were excited to try it out. Service was horrendous, and as we were leaving in the elevator, we talked with another table who said the same thing. Hopefully it was just an off night for the server, and it’s not a regular occurrence. Otherwise, the food was decent. Not sure if the risotto is supposed to be “hot” or just “warm”…

We had a wonderful time. The server was amazing, the food was incredible, and the ambiance was perfect for what we wanted. We had a 12-year-old and she had a wonderful time, too. It was a true night to remember!
