Blue Violet is a hidden gem located in the Aloft Hotel with spectacular views of Providence Jewelry District, Providence River, Water Place Park, and the Point Street Bridge.
Serving Dinner and craft cocktails.
We offer Sunday Brunch from 10am to 3pm. Our R & B Brunch offers a live DJ playing your favorite R&B hits. Reservations strongly encouraged. Sip & Sass Specials 4pm-6pm Thurs-Sat
OUTDOOR seating available on a first come first serve basis.

We went for dinner the night before (no reservation needed) as well as brunch, which we reserved through OpenTable. The servers, bartenders and hostesses were all fantastic on both occasions. For brunch, well...we waited an hour to be served! To be fair, we did wind up arriving 45 minutes earlier than our reservation (not on purpose...we didn't realize we'd be able to check out of the hotel using the app and shoot right up to the roofbar...) I'm sure it was just a timing issue, but still...an hour for eggs, potatoes and biscuits seems excessive. The food and ambience were good and I'd say average value for what we got and considering the area (Providence). The bloody mary was a bit heavy on the horseradish, but that may be a local culture thing I'm not aware of (we are NOT locals haha). Overall, pleased with both experiences. We would happily return next time we visit Providence.

Very limited menu and hours or operation were odd. We were looking good for breakfast at 900 and they didn't open till 10. Then when we did get there the menu was too frilly for our tastes.

The food was DELICIOUS!! The vibes were immaculate. The DJs set was 10/10! R&B songs hit every time. The host was extremely accommodating and Ellie our server was amazing and extremely attentive. I got the French Toast with a Banana Flambé and my mother got the polenta Benedict… again absolutely delicious!! I would definitely come down to Providence again just for the Blu Violet vibes and food!
