   Steak was undercooked, baked potato was dry, tomato, provolone and onion salad was weird. It was a bowl of diced tomatoes with salad dressing and 4 small pieces of cheese on top. Food was okay overall but for the price it left much to be desired. If it’d been Texas Roadhouse or Outback the quality would have been fine. But for a place trying to compete with The Ranch or other upscale steakhouse it fell flat because it was just okay.

   My husband booked Bob’s for our anniversary, and everything started off great. We’ve dined at the Barton Creek location in Austin, TX, so we came in with high expectations. Unfortunately, this visit fell far short. Our server, Jeff, was okay but seemed low-energy. I started with a wedge salad, which was fantastic, so I was hopeful for the rest of the meal. Then came the issue. I ordered a 14 oz Ribeye cooked medium-well, while my husband chose the 16 oz Ribeye medium. My steak came out medium-rare—not once, not twice, but three times. The first steak was full of fat and gristle, looking more like a discount cut from Sam’s Club than a $68 steak. It was stringy, unpleasant, and nearly impossible to cut without hitting weird tendons. I requested a replacement, which they provided, but it lacked seasoning and was poorly presented. The difference between this Oklahoma City location and the Barton Creek location was night and day in terms of taste and presentation. They barely acknowledged our anniversary, which was disappointing given the occasion. While they did offer a new side, they didn’t comp anything or attempt to make up for the poor experience. I still left a 20% tip out of courtesy, but the service and food were mediocre at best. Overall, this experience was truly disappointing, and we won’t be returning to this location.

   Was not our best experience. The temperature in the dining room was freezing. We were wearing our coats at the table and the table next to us, all the diners were wearing scarves and sweaters. The food took way to long to arrive. 55 minutes elapsed between when the order was placed until it arrived at the table. When it did arrive, we did not have any silverware. By the time someone brought some, the steaks was cold. Not sure we will go back to Bob's. OKC has many great places in the downtown/midtown area that are a better experience.

    I really like Bob's. We had our son's rehearsal dinner at one in Texas. I have to say I was disappointed this time. My wife had fried shrimp, which was excellent. I ordered the sea bass special. ($65.00) It was good, but it was cold in the middle. I should have sent it back but I didn't. I just ate the edges. That part is my fault. If you are going to have a special, it should come out right. The sides were very good. The ambiance and service was great. I guess if you go to a steak house, stick with steak!
