   My girlfriend arrived 10 minutes early and wanted to order a drink at the bar. She was told by the hostess that the bar area was for walk-in customers with no reservation and that she had to wait to be seated since our table wasn't ready yet. She wasn't even offered the option to stand by the bar vs sitting in a seat. The rest of us arrived shortly after and waited a few minutes while they set our table. The drinks were very tasty once we ordered them. Menu selection not overwhelming and everything was tasty and flavorful, especially the de-boned branzino.

   Bodega offers a beautiful modern take on Vietnamese cuisine in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We had a great time—our server was incredibly kind and guided us through the menu with care. The shaking beef was a standout, perfectly tender and melting in the mouth. We’re already looking forward to coming back to try the dinner menu!

   Pleasant vibrant atmosphere. Service was terrific. Happy attentive wait staff. The food was delish. Everything we ordered was good. The stand outs were the Bun Cha with Pork Belly and Meatballs and the Cellophane Noodles with Crab in clay pot. The fancy drink menu looked good but we went with some Chinese (I believe) beer that was tasty.

   After our first drink and ordering the meal, it was hard to order anything else, we sat with dry glasses for long periods, asking bus boys to find our waiter etc, who would occasionally go by without making eye contact. Wasn't busy, it was Monday evening

   Taster menu is fantastic--come hungry! You will be amazed by the quality of the food, the design, the presentation and the incredible taste of each course. Fantastically creative cocktails and a perfect wine and beer pairing as well. Outstanding staff and experience from start to finish!

   First bad experience at Bodega, hopefully it's not reoccurring. Asked to be seated somewhere "cozy, comfortable or out of the way in a booth" for the last dinner with my friend in SF. Ended up seated in the back of the restaurant directly next to a table of 14 bros who were all yelling loudly and carrying on. We could barely hear each other talk. Not exactly the comfy/ cozy I was expecting. Server was not nice and seemed annoyed by us the entire night. My friend had recently been ill, and was observing Ramadan, so we didn't run up our typically lavish tab. But that doesn't mean we should have a bad experience right? I tried to tell myself the server wasn't mad at us- but she certainly seemed to not like us. All in all it wasn't what I know and expect from Bodega :(

    Really great dinner we selected a few different dishes to share between the group. Waiter was excellent, was able to give us hints at small adjustments to certain dishes to ensure we had enough for the table (ex. some dishes are one item, only 3 meatballs split 4 ways).
