   I have been to your other locations and have never been disappointed. The food is consistently good. Our server, Victoria, was amazing and very professional.

   The food is really very good but unfortunately the service is consistently sub-par and inattentive. I’m not one who needs constant coddling but to go 20 minutes without a visit from the waiter is really unacceptable. Waited over half an hour for our entrees. The waitperson never came back to check on us after that. Had to chase them down to get a check and I had to ask twice for someone to come clear our dirty dishes after we’d been finished for 15 minutes. Lots of waitstaff standing around the front doing not much while we were virtually ignored in the back room. Too bad as this has the potential to be a successful venture. I live in the building and am mystified that the service isn’t getting any better in the two+ months they’ve been open.

   What a charming and quaint place to have dinner and drinks. I went there with my work colleagues for a holiday get together. It was perfect. We intend to go back! Thank you!

   Cognac is new to the neighborhood. The food was terrific and service also wonderful. No loud music which we love. Highly reccomend it. I want to go back for the cheese soufle

   Unfortunately this is the second experience I have had at this relatively new location for this restaurant and it has not been good. In both instances, the restaurant has run out of popular dishes or somehow an order got mixed up. The service , while well intentioned, seems disorganized and inefficient, and once at brunch, with a very long wait where we had to inquire about our order. I have been to Cognac on the East side and other places and have found it to be excellent. Unfortunately at this location, the food was fair, the service fair and unfortunately, I will not be returning.

   The service was friendly but not as efficient as I would like it to have been. I ordered the escargot which didn't have enough garlic for my taste. The filet mignon was supposed to come with mashed potatoes but it was served with french fries. I was told they didn't have mashed potatoes. The french fries were not very good. For the price I would have expected more excellence.

   We appreciated that they lowered the music. The service was attentive and pleasant. The food was good. Will definitely return - as we are neighborhood people.

   We had steak tartare and tuna tartare pre-theatre meal. Delicious. Service was excellent. Highly recommend.

    We are delighted that Cognac has recently opened in our neighborhood. It is a lovely interior with banquettes and well-spaced tables. The staff is welcoming and professional. The food is French bistro - hot onion soup perfect on a cold winter's day, omelets, salads, quiche and sandwiches.
