Our experience would have been and should have been lovely. The location is great, the setting is warm and comfortable. But the service was atrocious! It took an hour for all of our drinks to arrive, the food was family style but delivered without serving utensils. Our waiter was nowhere to be seen to remedy these problems, and the result was cold lumpy gravy on what otherwise was a very tasty meal. Juicy turkey, rare roast beef, yummy cornbread stuffing. The desserts which were available were delicious. Unfortunately, we missed out on the fresh fruit which had been in their advertisement, they ran out of plates for the dessert bar, and the chocolate fondue was boiled to an oily mess.

Server was terrible. Could not get our drink orders correct much less the food. We were actually there for a pre theater price fixe dinner, but the manager had no idea what we were talking about. We showed him the email confirming it and the advertisement from the restaurant advertising it. Said no one told him. When we came in we told the server we had a show to go to, but she walked around like a zombie. Won’t be back for sure.

It took a 50 minutes to get get our food. There were only four tables seated in the whole restaurant while we were there. Three people at our table ordered the same plate and they didn’t have enough ingredients for all three to get the same sandwich. It’s a beautiful restaurant and all the servants were very hospitable, but the wait was really long and the lack of ingredients was off putting.

Service was sub par. Forgot an item that was ordered. Had to request a second plate even though waitress knew the order was being shared. No butter or jelly brought out with toast. No refill of coffee offered, had to request it.

We went to Brazos Proper Texas Kitchen on a day when there was not a home game at TAMU. This restaurant is hidden in the Hilton Hotel & Conference center. It was very quiet. Service was pleasant and playful. The steak sandwich had great smoky flavor. For a casual night our bill was a bit high compared to if we had gone to "a burger joint". The atmosphere is lovely. This is a hidden gem, unfortunately. On game day I image it would be packed. Worth a visit.

The pork chop was overcooked beyond recognition. Dry as pulled pork and not hot. Sea bass ok. Rice not prepared well. Steak prepared well and tasty. Would not recommend
