Brick Lane is a hip Indian eatery bringing the lighter, fresher and fusion side of Indian cuisine to Sydney. Experimental in its approach, the dishes at Brick Lane are inspired by India but dished up with a modern, inventive twist. Make sure you check out the drinks list too, where you’ll find killer cocktails, specialty gin & tonics and an extensive wine list.

Nestled in an old terrace house with exposed brick walls and lit by the warm tones of red neon, the atmosphere is casual and easy going with a focus on quick friendly service, good tunes and fun times.

                            Very disappointing. The food lacked flavour, portions were tiny, and several dishes like the spring rolls and dumplings looked store bought. Would not recommend.

                            I sat with my coat in the entire meal as the restaurant was very cold with no heating on a chilly night. Food flavourless and disappointing, dip portions were tiny and tasted like they’d been kept in a fridge set to too cold a temperature. Disappointing overall.

                            Brick lane Wow! What amazing candles in the wall and tap water. They are the only positives to our experience. We were greeted by, “unless you want our $85 banquet there is no Beef, pork or lamb, you can have chicken or cauliflower”. This should have been our sign to leave. We chose some things off the menu (chicken and cauliflower based of course) only to be served what can only be described as burnt chili flakes on dry cauliflower. The butter chicken, which came highly recommended was exceptionally thick and sickly creamy, after a tablespoon each, my fiancée and I realized that it was so highly recommended because that is the only way it ever gets sold. I would definitely not recommend anybody go to the effort of eating here, when feedback was offered to the waiter the manager avoided our table. I suppose it explains why there were so many sittings available. Very disappointing night.

                            Amazing experience at Brick Lane, the tandoori chicken spring rolls were a stand out, and the rest of our meals and cocktails were amazing too

                            Food wasn’t great at all, not authentic Indian food and pretty disappointed overall spending that much on food and walking away dissatisfied.

                            The food was not what I was expecting but that’s not a bad thing. Some very interesting combination of flavours and a completely different take on Indian cuisine. We had the $75 banquet and that came with limitless drinks so that on its own was worth every cent. Overall excellent staff beautifully presented and executed food and a great night out!
