Excellent French Bistro with neighbor hood feel. Nice wine list. I had the mussels and my friends had coq au vin with pate to start. Frisée salad for me. All well prepared and service was attentive and professional.

On a rainy/sleeting evening, it felt like being warmly ensconced in a bistro on some side street in Paris. While Soleil can sometimes be noisy, it was just buzy enough to have a lively hum, but calm enough to have a conversation at dinner. The Vesper was a perfect drink to start, and the main courses were great. Only misstep was that the escargot appetizer was a little over-salted. But everything esle was so good we didn't mind. Soleil continues to be a neighborhood gem.

I have been in many French Restaurants; the food was ok. I ordered grill sardines average, The Onio soup was decent, the Pate was ok, the Escargot was decent. The basket of bread was served room temperature, cold. The entrees the Salmon was good, and the steak Au Poivre was ok, French fries were nice and crunchy. Dessert Cappucino was more foam than anything else, the coffee was ok, the dessert Creme Brule was ok. I can honestly say this is one of those restaurants you will visit one time and never return, specially driving from Long Island one hour. Service was decent only we felt a little rush minutes before 10:00Pm.

Nice, quiet brunch spot. Mussels and French onion soup were fabulous. The breakfast American was just ok. Bacon was too thick and double-fried. No bread with eggs which I would have liked. Would return, however. Very pretty and bright interior.

Our first time here in many years. Our waiter was stiffly cordial and didn't seem to have his heart in his work. The brunch menu is varied and delightful with the inclusion of what is known as brunch drinks at an affordable price. We will be back even though it is out of our neighborhood.

Always a solid choice for excellent food and service at a great price. Nicely distanced from all of the tourist sites but well worth the trip to the upper West side!
