Casa Mono and its sister restaurant, Bar Jamon, are located next to each other on Irving Place and 17th Street, just east of Union Square. Awarded three stars from The New York Times in 2015 and a Michelin Star in 2009 (and every year since), Casa Mono is a tapas bar restaurant inspired by the cooking of Spain’s Costa Brava.

    the food was so good but unfortunately I have to give it 3 stars because of the customer service. If this is going to be Michelin guide restaurant, I expect better services. We were driving from Boston & called to see if they extend our table 30 mins later because we were not expecting this much traffic & when we just wanted to CONFIRM if there’s a 24 hr policy, whoever picked up the phone call said “you should’ve done that yesterday” well if I knew traffic was this bad, maybe I should’ve seen the future!! that’s totally my fault for not knowing traffic. When we arrived around 4:34 (4:30 reservation) we had to wait 20 mins for our table, so it’s fair for you guys to tell us when to sit but can’t keep the same energy. Other than that, food was good but just not sure if the customer service was meeting - therefore Casa Ora in Brooklyn is better.

    The food quality has gone down. The goat was dry and the croquettes were not that special. I was bummed as the last time I came it was an incredible Experience
