Food quality was below expectations for the price. Lacking flavor and cold. Had to return salad. The dressing/oil tasted strange and left a residue in mouth hard to rinse out. Service was exceptional. Ambiance was nice, Food lousy.

We stayed at Skamania lodge for a couple of nights and ate there for 3 of the meals. While the food was consistently good to very good and the staff were very kind, I will mention a few of the things that weren't so great. 1. My Open Table Reservations weren't showing up correctly with them but they were extremely accommodating and honored my reservations anyway. 2. For the breakfast which was quite busy, we didn't even see the waiter for 23 minutes to take our order and that was only after I asked someone to find him for me because we only had 45 minutes for breakfast. Fortunately we chose the buffet or we would have been late. 3. For the breakfast, we got the buffet which turns out didn't have any meat...What no bacon or sausage? Turns out you have to order that separately and for another charge. I'm sorry but a buffet is not a buffet without meat but the eggs were cooked just right for me and the potatos were very good but not kept warm enough. 4. I recommend the chocolate tart and the braised pork loin, we really enjoyed those

Had a fabulous anniversary dinner here. We both got the prime rib, which was absolutely delicious. The buttermilk pumpkin plum butter creme brûlée was the perfect end to the evening. Thank you again!!!

Very nice experience with family. We wanted to do the brunch buffet however it’s not a brunch buffet but a breakfast buffet which was disappointing. The breakfast buffet gets put out at 7am and does not get refilled it simply closes up when the food is gone and by the time we were there it was 11am (brunch time) and our waitress said it was pretty much gone. So if you’re not there when it opens I wouldn’t bother. The breakfast menu was small but the prices were really reasonable and the food was good. Took a longtime to get our food but the waitress refilled our drinks regularly. I would definitely recommend for nice quiet family dining.

Food was delicious, nice menu with a variety of offerings. They were accommodating to my niece who was a vegan and able to work out the perfect dish for her.

We dined at Skamania Lodge on a Saturday evening. At the server's suggestion we both ordered the prime rib. The prime rib was nearly inedible. Very stringy and tough to cut. I thought it was just mine but in checking with my wife on the way home hers was equally as bad. I regret that we did not send both meals back. I decided to call the restaurant and speak with a manager before posting a negative review. I left a message for the manager explaining the situation but after three days I have not heard back from anyone at the restaurant. It is a beautiful facility with a lovely setting but terrible food quality. If you want to eat there order a burger at the bar but skip the main dining room.

The food was very good. I'd go back just to have the steelhead hash! Our servers were attentive and firendly, but it was clear they were short staffed. We had reservations for both dinner and breakfast, but still needed to wait to be seated for both meals. It was almost 25 minutes past our reservation time for dinner. The individual checking us in was pretty rude, but appeared overwhemed and frazzled. I would like to see more "healthy" dishes on the menu, especially for kids.
