Ambience was nice but they were severely unprepared. It was a set menu and took over 2 and a half hours from start to finish. The dishes were nothing out of this world and many tables were waiting for a very long time in between courses. The servers were fantastic so this leads me to believe there were issues in the kitchen. I wouldn’t recommend it

Food was not good. Spaghetti Bolognese has zero zest of flavor. Veal porcini was poor quality. Meat tasted funny. Sauce flavorless. Branzino Livornese was good but wasn't even livornese. No olives. No capers. So why not just tell us it's fish covered in marinara?

We ate there on a Saturday night and the restaurant inside was quite full. The noise level made it almost unbearable. The food was excellent and we will go back but will opt to eat on the outside patio. If not for the noise level, we would give it a 5

So happy to have this restaurant across the street from work. I love Madeo ’s food but not the hustle and bustle and BS scene so much. I am already a regular! Best eggplant parm. my husband always gets the bottarga.. Highly recommend!!!

We had an incredible New Year’s Eve dinner at Cesare Restaurant on 3rd Street. The owners greeted us warmly, setting the tone for a welcoming and cozy experience. The ambiance was delightful, and the service was flawless. This hidden gem offers outstanding food paired with an extensive wine list. We even spotted two A-list celebrities dining quietly with friends, free from paparazzi or fans. The veal Milanese I ordered was cooked to perfection, accompanied by delicious spinach and roasted potatoes. My companion thoroughly enjoyed the filet mignon, which was expertly seasoned and perfectly cooked. We shared a pasta dish for our second course, and it was so good we were tempted to lick the plate clean—but we managed to resist. Though we didn’t have room for dessert after our three-course feast, we’re already planning our next visit to Cesare, where we’ll be sure to save space to indulge in their desserts.

One of the best Italian restaurants in Los Angeles, Cesare is understated yet outstanding in every respect, beginning with its namesake owner greeting guests on arrival and visiting every table during their meal. This restaurant — its food, warm ambiance and impeccable service — is a flawless dining experience. Warm and unpretentious, if you’re looking for the “LA scene,” this is not it. It’s authentic Tuscan food at its best.

Cesare Vietina has brought something truly needed on this side of 3rd Street…a friendly and fancy delicious Italian restaurant where you can even spot the occasional celebrity. Very LA without being over the top. If you find better Tuscan flavors in LA, please tell me…. What a gem!
