    I am disappointed. I have dined at Char many times before and this is the worst experience I have had. I made reservations, only to be seated at the dining room opening door, the service was slow, drinks came before the bread and bread was dry. I ordered the redfish and my friend ordered the prime ribeye and both were barely warm. Not to mention the hostess was busy selling gift cards and didn’t make eye contact and all she asked was did you make reservations. Sadly it was my friend’s first time and I doubt it’ll be a place of choice for us anymore.

    The past 2 times we’ve ate at Char have been lackluster to say the least.. We used to eat there quite often and figured we’d give it one more shot last night. I’m not sure if they went with another meat vendor or what cut filet mignon should never be as tough as it’s been the past couple times. To be named char and send the steak out with zero char is kinda comical. The sides were on par with Outback Steakhouse. The crab cakes are always good but other than that, just save yourself a bad experience and go to Connor’s.

    Our waitress, TK, was amazing. She went above and beyond to help us make decisions and was very courteous. Chat has a beautiful atmosphere.

    I have been a regular customer for some time. The food is good. Service is good. Currently they had some specials in addition to the regular menu. This included creme brûlée which I really like.

    The prime rib used to be so tender. Now, not so much. Full of gristle(not just marbling) the crab cakes are always delicious!

    Char is always a great experience. The bar has a great bourbon selection and the food is top notch. One of the best spots in town for a special night out.
