The Charcoal Steak House is an independent local steakhouse serving the Waterloo region community for over 65 years. Enjoy AAA Steaks, richly marbled wagyu, slow roasted prime rib, fresh seafood, mouth-watering pig tails, legendary smoked ribs and more. At lunch we feature an extensive menu with burgers, sandwiches, bowls and healthy salad choices.

Sundays are made for Brunch from 9:00am - 1:00pm.

Our Martinis Bar with summer patio offers the full Steak House menu or light meals in a more casual setting. Enjoy appetizers, a full meal, 20 beers on tap and beautiful outdoor seating area in summer.

    We really enjoyed our visit. The food was delicious. Our waitress, Alita, was amazing!! We really like the big square table for the 8 of us. Makes it easy to talk to each other. And the room was lovely. We will be back.

    Everyone enjoyed their meal! The waitress Abby moved us to a different table as the initial one was quite wobbly. All changes were made so easily with a smile!

    We really enjoyed our steak Diane at Charcoal Steak House. Both my wife and I ordered that meal and we received our order in a very reasonable time. I had a vanilla cheesecake with cherry sauce on top plus regular coffee for desert. My wife had the Belgian chocolate mousse. Both were delicious. We certainly enjoyed our meals and prompt service.

    Celebrated my son’s 21st Birthday. Food was amazing, the steak was tender and tasty. Service was outstanding and the ambience was comfortable. Noise level low and we just had a wonderful time.

    We enjoyed an nice business meal at Charcoal. The service was very good, the sommelier did a nice job with our wine selections. The food and service as consistently great. I really enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding for dessert.
