Focusing predominately on fresh local seafood with a French, Lowcountry flare, Charlie’s is the place for good food, good wine and unforgettable memories all enjoyed in a quaint French country atmosphere.

A Savannah native, Charlie Golson’s interest in the French language and culture took him to Paris. After a long stint in the fast paced hotel kitchens of Washington DC, he was ready to move back closer to home. It was at that time he was able to open up a one room French bistro. The restaurant has grown over the years, but the ‘Green Star’ remains steadfast in offering the finest ingredients the Low country has to offer with a menu that is hand written daily. Resort Casual.

We discovered Charlie’s last year and loved not only the patio dining experience, but also the food! Coming back in November, it was just as spectacular as we remembered! Stacy was such a joy and felt like one of the family - thank you for truly being the crescendo to our holiday weekend!

We had this wonderful wait person,(Jodie), who made dining experience delightful. Of course as always the food was to die for! We all had the Filet Mignon and it was so tender you could almost cut it with your fork. It has to be the best steak on the island on th mainland.

Excellent service We all had fish. Sheephead, Red fish and swordfish. Entrees came with small salad, scalloped potatoes and green beans. Would go again

We had a wonderful time last night. The service was fantastic (Melanie took care of us throughout the evening), and the food was phenomenal. We had the flounder, redfish, fish and sheephead fish for dinner. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted outstanding. Appetizers were the pate and esgargots and both were so delicious. Overall my family and I had a great evening. Thank you!

More than a meal, it's a dining experience. Easily the best restaurant on the Island. I wish they had one in Atlanta. It is so good that I book my reservations here before I even look for a hotel. I'll change my vacation dates if needed to make sure I get to dine here.
