   While the noise level is very high, the food and service is excellent!! The beet salad was possibly the best either of us have ever eaten, the agnolotti is exceptional, and the chocolate desert was rich without over doing it! What a fantastic evening we were able to share at a truly exceptional restaurant in SF. Thanks for making it special.

   Maybe it was an off night and understaffed. There was a large birthday party which needed its own service. Waiter was good and doing his best. we asked for the Som for a wine reco but Som was busy and didn’t come until 30mins later but this wasn’t an issue as my party was having good convo Som seemed frazzled and was just trying to rush get us to choose something fast instead of pairing it with the dinner items we told him we were thinking of order. I told him we would start with a white and then move yo reds. ultimately we chose a white to start but kind of fell short and didn’t want to hassle and send back and then didn’t want to bother with another bottle / inconvenience how busy it seemed. In the soms defense I saw him hustling trying to pour wine and help other tables so I think he was incredibly busy. At the end of the dinner we could feel you needed the table back for another Resy even though we were still waiting for dessert order to come. felt like we were being really rushed, which felt awk because the hold up was from the start of service not cuz we were lingering after dinner was over. Overall the experience just felt off and I was more distracted by having to think about the service instead of being able to enjoy the dinner

   We’ve dined here many times and decided last night to finally try a pizza here. The marguerite pizza was delicious and very much in the Naples style with a puffy edge crust and eaten with fork and knife. Everything at Che Fico is delicious—-the suppli, the beet salad, the whole roasted fish, the arrosto crostata dessert. Sometimes I’m reminded of dinners we had in Rome. The service has greatly improved! Thank you.

   We visited mid-week, would still recommend a reservation here! Opted to enjoy several of their courses sharing style, and everything was superb! Could not fault the food at all, and the service was great. May not be the cheapest spot, but you get what you pay for, and I would definitely come back here!

   We finally dined here last night after reading great reviews. I had a wonderful martini and the wine list offered my husband an unusual trebbiano—off to a good start. The giardinara was strong flavored and included fennel, cauliflower, shallots & other root veggies pickled well, but some were too raw. We shared a beautiful radicchio salad with apples and a farmstead cheese—large and adequate dressed. We also shared a promising Judy Rodgers pizza, which arrived warm-ish with a snowy flurry of cheese, San Marianos and undetectable oregano—good, but not great. Our Apple crostata was delicious with the flakiest crust—the highlight of the meal! Overall, we had a good meal, but not quite what we imagined it would be. As usual these days, the service disappeared at the end of the meal. A reliance on local ingredients is commendable, but not worth the hype.
