Food was delicious! Service was good, friendly, but felt a bit rushed. I also noted on my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday but that was never acknowledged.

Waited over 15 minutes to be seated (had a reservation). Ordered the lomo saltado medium rare, but was served well done. Service was a little chaotic, a little awkward. Did not feel like the food was good value for the money spent.

Not as flavorful as in the past. Miss some of the old dishes and the corn nuts on the table

Do yourself a favor and make reservations now. All your senses and taste buds will thank you. THE absolutist Pisco Sours around. Everything, and I mean everything, from the small plates, dim sum, ceviche, noodles and dessert were out of this world! A do not miss when you are in DC. Fabulous and your experience won’t break the bank!

Another lovely evening at China Chilcano! This time we tried the new dishes: * Ceviche Clasico — Delicious! * Lucky Twelve siu mai — this is the best way for two to sample the tripe of diu mai — dorado (”golden”), pollo (“chicken”), and tradicional. All excellent. * Tam tam — spicy pork and noodles with peanut sauce. Truly delicious. * Suspiro Limeña — The perfect dessert! The staff are marvelous! The service was wonderful, snd the staff was attentive and engaging. Even those just clearing the dishes were polite and cheerful. Having a polite and cheerful staff mashed for a wonderful evening! Overall, an exceptionally pleasant dining experience!

The food, as always, was very good to excellent. The service was friendly. But, as in the past, I urge them to work on the front. In spite of our reservation, we were made to wait for a half hour. They delivered our food to the next table, where someone from the Jose Andres management group was having dinner. They gave us two free drinks (without our asking), but that is just an acknowledgement that they had screwed up. The last time, the front was so bad (rude, made us wait) that they offered us a free meal (without my prompting). A very good restaurant marred by poor organization.

Food was delightful and flavors (especially the Peruvian dishes) were new and unique to us. Good dining experience but not great - server seems distant (for a supposedly Michelin rated restaurant, service was I think not up to par - seems uninterested in serving our group)…. Just going by work I guess. Otherwise, good food and food selection.
