Chocolate Buddha undertook an AMAZING renovation in 2019 by Maddison Architects. We have a 22 seater SUSHI TRAIN open Wednesday to Sunday lunches 12 - 3pm and Wednesday to Saturday Dinners 5 - 8pm it includes an EXPRESS train which delivers hot food ordered via a tablet. We offer QR menus at each table for ease of ordering, splitting bills and menu with pictures and descriptions. This type of ordering is optional so always let us know if you prefer to order with us. Absolutely terrible on all accounts. Had a booking for sushi train for 7pm. Arrived and there is a queue of walk ins so I ask a staff member and they say we need to join the queue despite the sushi train being half empty and our seats obviously being ready. So we queue until 7.30 watching the still empty seats and the food going round and round uneaten. When we are finally seated the food looks unappetising and phenomenally overpriced. $8 for 3 tiny egg maki? And the cooked tuna ‘roll’ is 2 pieces of the thinnest tuna roll I have ever seen also at $8? Most of the people at the sushi train ordering a-la-carte and I can’t say I blame them. At least that was freshly cooked, but still pricey and lacklustre.. Oh and to top it all, I asked if they could validate parking and they said this had not started yet. By this stage I had had enough and left, but when I got back to the car park of course there is a sign clearly saying that validation started today. Unbelievable….

Delicious Benton boxes had by all our party of 4. The gyoza were crispy and tasty Great wait staff Quick and efficient service Good beer selection Just a bit poor on acoustics. Background noise was hard to chat over. Otherwise highly recommend

We had a wonderful dining experience at Chocolate Buddha. The staff from entrance to table were terrific. I have Coeliac Disease and the staff member Hugo was especially helpful with meal selection. We would recommend Chocolate Buddha and will return.

So much flavour, with plenty of options to suit everyone's taste. Even a kids menu. Bento boxes looks delicious too. Will have to come back for seconds. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating

Always great! Our request to have a table with chairs with backs was fulfilled… i even received a message confirming that would happen. VERY reassuring and personal for such a busy restaurant - THANK YOU. The service was fantastic as we had to leave by a certain time. Highly recommended 😊

I did not book a table until two nights beforehand whereas on previous occasions, a week ahead . I guess that explains why we shared a long table with five loud , raucous blokes. We could barely hear ourselves talk, hence a disappointing experience. I’ll be sure to book well ahead in future.

This is my pre-theatre go-to place for a light bite or a full meal. Sat at the sushi train and the service was great as always, and the food was delicious and freshly made. There is always someone available to help and the service is fantastic. Will be back. Thank you.
