   I never write bad reviews, but last night at City Cellar was TERRIBLE. I typically dine at City Cellar at least 1-2 times per month. We ended up sitting at the bar, which has usually been a good experience in the past. It took at least 45 minutes to get water and a drink after sitting down. The bartender was serving people who sat down after us and apparently has not been trained to use any type of systematic approach on how to serve the people who sat down 20-30 minutes prior to the others. We ordered a cheese board, which took about another 30 minutes to come out. The bartender never checked on us. He was too busy discussing all of his piercings to the two women beside us. Some lady brought us bread that WASN’T EVEN BAKED ENOUGH and the middle of the bread was still dough, and tried to take the menus, even though we hadn’t ordered dinner. We had to flag the manager down to order second round of drinks an hour and 45 minutes into this visit. We only ordered salads and a side of french fries because after having bread that wasn’t even baked thoroughly, I didn’t think food here would actually be a good idea. 2 hours and 20 mins later, I had to get up and go find the manager to ask for our checks. He had the AUDACITY to pre click the button for 22% or either 25% tip prior to me giving him my card to pay. This was a TERRIBLE experience and City Cellar should be ashamed of how they provided service that I watched for 2.5 hours to many people there last night. I know it was New Year’s Eve, but a lot of that could have been prevented. I am VERY patient, and again have never even written a bad review for any buisness but last night deserves this review.

   What an amazing experience! I loved that they took the time to ensure my food was cooked with care as I have a severe nut allergy. The service was great for an extremely busy night. Can’t wait to Go back

   Fabulous dinner … we enjoyed the kale salad, the 8 oz filet and the parmesan snapper, along with the champagne cake for dessert. The grapefruit martini was wonderful as well! We thought they did an amazing job sticking to the reservations and handling the high demand for New Year’s Eve. It was very busy but the food and service were flawless!

   I was disappointed in that I made reservations weeks prior and when we got to the restaurant last night they pushed a round and square table together for us right in the path of all the orders coming out of the kitchen. Waiters hit us in the head a few times trying to get around us. Of all the beautiful tables a booths - we got stuck in the open!

   Marty was excellent server. Very busy New Years Eve. Tuna poke best in area. Salads good but overdressed Well prepared meal Will return soon

   The food and wine were both very good - could have used a little more variety on the menu, and the entree prices were somewhat high, so I had a salad with salmon - and the salmon was excellent. The server - Victoria - was also excellent. It's somewhat loud and crowded inside - but the outside is covered and overlooks the 1st floor of City Place, and is quite attractive. I've been here several times before - and will definitely come back!

   It was a very busy and bustling evening. So much so that the greeter needed to be reminded we asked for outdoor seating. The table was perfectly fine. Server seems a little slow and overwhelmed but we were patient, having ordered a bottle of wine, and hs big to ask for bread twice, until learning my first selection, skirt steak, was out and then my second choice, NY sirloin, was too yet that was only told when the table was served. The servers was apologetic and I asked for the manage. I kindly demanded some similar portion from another cut of meat. After a little back and forth they came with a full sirloin meal, comp. The food was very delicious, blacked salmon, salad with salmon and my Asian salad with the steak. We will still go back yet know to ask up front what was unavailable.
