Since 1992, Coco Pazzo has been an award-winning, Tuscan-inspired Chicago favorite. Menu items include the Porterhouse Bistecca alla Fiorentina and whole Mediterranean Sea Bass filleted tableside. Very slow service. Confusing order conversation resulting in my getting not the dish I preferred. My wife’s sea bass order was fishy tasting. She ate about half. Years ago one of my favorite places. Doubt we’ll go back.

The array of nightly specials was truly amazing. The cuisine, as well as its presentation, was impeccable. The service a delicate perfection. It has become our fave Chicago restaurant for fine dining.

Our meal was excellent, we had the tagliatelle with rags and the whole branzino, both were delicious. Our server was very professional. Everyone was very friendly! 5 star experience

Some of our party wanted to do the restaurant week menu and some did not but this was not allowed. I’ve heard other restaurants have this rule too but I don’t understand why. One member of our party did not want any dessert from the prix fixe menu but the waitress said she had to bring it. What? Why would you put something in front of someone that they expressly requested you not to? It all makes us want to avoid restaurant week in the future. The food was good but not outstanding.

We can always count on fabulous food at Coco Pazzo and last night was no exception. We started with the soup of the day, a beautifully flavored broth with white beans, greens, and other vegetables. It hit the spot on a cold Chicago evening. For main courses, we ordered the risotto of the day, which included shrimp and mushrooms, and the pasta of the day, a flat pasta with generous amounts of clams, mussels, shrimp and other seafood in a sauce with a hint of tomato. Both dishes were perfectly executed. For us, the ambiance at Coco Pazzo is a big part of the pleasure we find in dining there. We can count on a warm welcome, a beautiful table, and service that is completely professional, knowledgeable, and attentive. We can shed our stress and feel we are in good hands throughout the meal. Last night our server was Jennifer R. The noise level is low making conversation easy. All in all, we can't ask for more from a restaurant. Thank you to the staff and servers for a lovely evening.
