Had a bar reservation, which was perfect for a pre-Playhouse Square dinner. The food and service was excellent. The crispy Brussels sprout appetizer was really good. Cooper’s Hawk is definitely a welcome addition to the Avon dining choices.

First off, it felt like our waitress did not want to be there. She was aloof, unhelpful with suggestions, and when I told her that our braised ribs were tough she didn’t offer any options (recook, chat with the managers, anything. We weren’t looking for free food just some level of CS.) The cheese plate was ok but def boring. Three creamy cheeses that lacked flavor, except for the feta with honeycomb, which was actually really good. And the bacon was bomb but the toast was uninspired. For the entree, we both had the braised short ribs. When I say they were tough, I’m not kidding. I’ve never had short ribs that didn’t fall off the bone. They had a sponge-like consistency and were hard to chew. Hell, they were even hard to cut through - they should have been cooked an extra two or three hours. They were horrible! However, the vegetables and sauce they were presented in was really good. The wine, on the other hand, was pretty solid. I loved the store as well. In short, since we don’t have a lot of options in the area that are date-night worthy, we will probably be back for wine and appetizers. (Just not the cheese board.)

Excellent pretzel crusted chicken and the best I have had. Dining room was full and very loud. The place is pricey and probably better for lunch as it would be cheaper. Nice you can try their wine and a large selection. Service was good considering it was busy. The hostesses were great and friendly. Will go back once in a while.

Excellent experience! The Parmesan Crusted Chicken was wonderful and really enjoyed the Cooper’s Hawk Lux Cabernet. Mt colleagues had the Steak Salad, Ahi Tuna, Lobster bisque, and Wedge Salad with chicken. They all enjoyed their meals.

Always a great time at Cooper's Hawk. Food it outstanding. We had a wine tasting prior to dinner and it ran a bit longer than we thought, but the staff never rushed us to go to our table and told us to take our time. Made for an enjoyable experience. Staff is fantastic.

Our food and wine were excellent. However, I only received my appetizer. Once I made it known that the rest my meal hadn’t arrived both the manager and our waitress assured me it was coming out shortly. Twenty minutes after my guest was done eating it still hadn’t arrived. Needless to say I cancelled the menu item. If our waitress had been more attentive she would have known I never received the rest of my food. I haven’t decided if I’ll go back again. I will go back to purchase another bottle of wine. Excellent Zin.

Prime rib sandwich was fatty with tough tendons. It was barely warm when delivered. Coffee was delivered lukewarm. We had to ask for another cup of hot coffee which did arrive. Friend asked for BBQ chicken salad to go to be made when we were almost finished with our meal. Waitress said she would turn the order in then. It arrived not long after we got our meal. Waitress said she would take it back and have another one made when we were almost done. Second waitress brought the salad back again several minutes later. Said it was sitting to be delivered. Disappointing experience to say the least. We had 3 waitresses for our one meal. Our original waitress greeted us & brought water and coffee. Second waitress took our order including the takeout order. Third waitress brought the too early takeout order and our original waitress brought the salad back again presumably the original salad but in any case too early.
