Tuesdays are a funny one. They don’t quite come with the overwhelming sense of doom as Mondays do but you still feel like you’re miles away from the Holy Grail that is the weekend. Reward yourself for surviving this far into the working week by joining us here at the pub for a hunka hunka meaty love. Every week the kitchen will be cooking up a classic pub steak with all the works and serving it up for only 23 clams. That’s right, a Tuesday night steak dinner for only $23. Request for specific table - as frequent patrons - which was perfectly met. Bar service prompt and friendly and food service efficient, with and tasty food. Perfect experience with the Japanese Larger being a table favourite!

It was a great sunny day for lunch on the rooftop. Fish and chips were delicious and everyone else enjoyed their mains. Service was spot on and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Steak was cooked exactly like ordered and the chips were crispy. The slaw was small portion and basic.

The miscommunication between staff at this place was so unprofessional and led to my friends and I being physically handled by the security which was totally inappropriate. When I went down stairs to get my friends to bring them up to my booking and tried to calmly explain the situation to the security, my friend was pushed out of the door and not let back in for "inappropriate behaviour". I would have understood if I was just told that they had to wait in the line because the rooftop was at full capacity, but instead of using their words they got physical and aggressive. There was not one staff member who actually let me finish a sentence or listen to what I was trying to say before putting hands on me, and I felt totally disrespected. At the same, two other people from my party had gone up to a girl who looked like a bar manager with an ear piece in, and she showed the security my booking reference on her phone and he let them straight upstairs. I was really confused and upset as to why two of my friends got pushed out, but two of my other friends were allowed to skip the line and come straight up? If you have rules, you need to be consistent and fair. You need to clearly outline them to your customers so there is no miscommunication. Being physical towards young girls who have caused no harm or threat is no way to treat paying customers. The security guards at this place are disgusting and used their masculinity to try over power me and make me feel small, on my own birthday. In fact, as I was leaving, I was told by one of them "we never wanna see your face again". I didn't appreciate having hands laid on me and easily could've taken this further. With everything going on in the world at the moment it is absolutely frightening to receive that type of treatment as a young girl in her 20s. The whole group of us, almost 20 people, will never be returning to the Corner Hotel and urging other people to stay away
