   We had a lovely meal fab atmosphere and very festive but definitely will visit again when we are next up in York.

   Service poor so much so we were offered free drinks, food portions small & side of cauliflower cheese very poor, sat down to eat at 7.20 but waited over an hour for food to arrive

   Delicious food, great service. The 3 courses for £22 is excellent value, though not available every night. It's a little pricey otherwise but it a lovely treat to eat there. Nice ambiance - nice temperature in restaurant, only minor point is toilets were freezing cold!

    The staff were welcoming, atmosphere good and a good table. Most of the food lacked taste. The Fougasse had no garlic in it, the garlic butter on the Steak had none in either. Maybe they had run out of garlic? The Moules were good, but not a lot else, oh apart from the house red, which was excellent. And for some reason, our waiter suggested that the Burger my wife wanted wasn't a good idea?? Strange.
