On a mission to share the beauty of Mexican culture through food, Chef Johnny Curiel opens Cozobi Fonda Fina as an encore to his beloved LoHi restaurant, Alma Fonda Fina. Named after Cozobi, the Zapotec god of corn, Cozobi Fonda Fina is rooted in Mexico’s centuries-old corn nixtamalization traditions and wood-fire cooking techniques that define its rich food history.

Excellent service, food, and environment. Especially loved the ‘Caesar’ Salad, the tuna tostada, and the spicey sweet potato.

Everything from the service, drinks, and food was amazing. We had a hard time deciding what to order as everything on the menu was attractive. I cant eat scallops, but my wife said the were amazing. The roasted sweet potatoes far exceeded my expectations, they were absolutely delicious. The Tres Leche cake was a unique twist on a classic, and was sublime. We will definitely be going back. It was my birthday and our server brought us a nice brut sparkling wine from Mexico, with our dessert.

Amazing experience all over! Coming from Guadalajara, Mexico, I miss eating good Mexican cuisine and this is definitely a place I will be coming to more regularly to remember the taste of home. I will even bring my Mexican family when they come to visit. The tortillas and salsas are home made and you can taste it. I highly recommend the sweet corn Margarita. It is a good as some of my favorite restaurants in Mexico City and Guadalajara.

Sweet potato is a must. The chefs were great at the counter and gave great advice on what to order. I was in town visiting and they suggested that I order more smaller dishes instead of getting full off of one of the entrées so I can try more.

The food is good, not amazing and over priced for the quality. The waiter was confusing. He said the meals are shared plates and he would help up order the right quantity. There were two tacos per order, I don’t consider that a shared plate. The specialty drinks are fine, but again not amazing. Probably won’t go back for the price/quality.
