The Art Gallery Restaurant, Crafted by Matt Moran, provides a unique dining experience in one of Sydney’s most stunning dining rooms. Reflecting Moran’s signature style, the restaurant showcases locally sourced produce and premium Australian meat and seafood through a light, Mediterranean-inspired menu guided by the seasons. The drinks menu features an all-Australian wine list as well as Champagne, cocktails, beers, ciders and a substantial non-alcoholic offering. The restaurant is operated in partnership with the Gallery’s culinary advisor, Matt Moran, who works with food and beverage partner The Fresh Collective to execute his vision.

For groups of eight guests or more we offer a group menu which includes three courses, shared entrees and mains & shared dessert. This menu changes with the seasons and is made up of the best of our a la carte menu. It is a fantastic way for your group to feast on a selection of Chef's favourite dishes. Standard 'a la carte' Menu - Queer Art After Hours

We will be offering our standard a la carte menu this evening for reservations of up to 7 guests. 8 or more must dine on our group menu. Queer Art After Hours at The Art Gallery of NSW: Join us in celebrating the diversity, resilience and creativity of the LGBTQIA+ community at this special event. A platform for LGBTQIA+ artists, performers and storytellers, the annual Queer Art After Hours at the Art Gallery of New South Wales is a testament to the vibrancy of queer culture in Sydney. Encounter performances, DJ sets, installations and more across the Art Gallery of New South Wales’ two buildings, Naala Nura and Naala Badu. The program is co-created with key community members Ayebatonye Abrakasa, Kai Clancy and Gusta Silky to bring you a kaleidoscope of experiences throughout the evening. The event is free, as in previous years, but this year you’ll need a ticket. Really lovely experience from arrival to leaving.....everything spot on, delicious food and our waiter was lovely, special touch on dessert for the birthday diner, loved it, highly recommend.

Sunny staff who know their craft and enter into the spirit of your dining pleasure. Generous portions, splendid fresh ingredients and a nicely curated drinks list. Terrific view and a respite from the heat during the summer months.

This restaurant is fantastic. The fact that it's located inside the Art Gallery for easy access is a real bonus. The food is very interesting and exceptionally well-priced for a restaurant of this quality. The waiting staff are very experienced, professional and friendly. The wine list is extensive. Views across to Woolloomooloo are a lovely backdrop. The whole experience was wonderful. Highly recommended even if you don't attend a special exhibition.

We were lucky to have Shana, the manager, take care of us during our visit. The service was exceptional, truly five-star, and we had a fantastic experience. The Magritte Margarita was hands down the best margarita I've ever had. I've been telling all my friends about this amazing restaurant ever since!

"Energetic" is a nice euphemism - it was extremely loud and the music was pumping so made conversation very hard. Overall it's such a great idea to have a lovely quick meal before seeing an exhibition. Will be back :)

The food was good, but we weren't advised that there is a time restriction (2 hours only!), so it was a disappointment considering that we ordered such a large amount of food, and we were rushed out at the end.

All online bookings include a prompt to accept our terms and conditions, which mention the dining time allocation, this must be accepted before the booking is finalised. This is also highlighted in the reminder SMS sent prior to your booking. Sometimes we have to adhere to these time limits in order to accommodate other bookings and guests dining with us. Lunch was excellent. We chose the small plates ,pumpkin tart, followed by a delicious dessert of upside pineapple tart. Absolutely first rate. The waitress was most obliging and we felt very special as it was our 49th wedding anniversary! Congratulations was written our our dessert plate! We will be going back!!!
