The Crown & Mitre is a Grade II listed building built as private houses in the 1600's and converted into a pub in 1743.
Since that date the premises have retained not just the name but also the licence. It’s now an independent freehold pub business. We have recently taken over and are eager to create something unique to King’s Lynn.

As an established company and our key team having over 100 years experience in the licensed trade, we bring all our love for great food, wine and beer to the Crown & Mitre for your delight.

Located at the end of Ferry St on the shores of the great River Ouse the pub is steeped in nautical memorabilia that adds a touch of quirkiness and gets you wondering how old they are and where it all came from.

Express menu for Alive Corn Exchange guests only. 2 courses are £20, 3 courses are £25. We are a one minute walk from the Corn Exchange. This menu is designed for a quick and tasty bite before or after your show. Starters - Beetroot, burrata, dukkah OR Duck liver pate, red onion chutney OR Tempura prawns, wasabi mayo Mains - Chicken schnitzel, potato & egg salad OR Leek & mushroom pot pie, chips, salad OR Seafood and prawn curry Desserts - Chocolate tart (ve) Chantilly, berries OR Lemon posset OR Rum & raisin tiramisu T&C's - you **MUST PRE-BOOK for the EXPRESS MENU for the DAY OF YOUR SHOW** Tickets for each diner to be shown to staff on arrival. Very overpriced for basic menu choices. £23 for the tiniest of shepherds pies with 5 green beans and 2 carrots! Trying to be a la carte but sadly failing. Stick to pub sized portions and you'll be on to a winner.

Great character pub in old quarter with view over river from the upstairs restaurant. Brilliant food and service.

The Crown & Mitre has evolved over the past six months into what it aspires to be - “a riverside gastro pub”. The welcome as you come through the door, the beer, wine food and service was all excellent.
