   The food and wines are delicious, and the environment is warm, welcoming, and cozy. Special the service is so perfect. We love our waiter, his name is Jose, he is very kind, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. He listened patiently to our stories and shared his experiences and adventures with us. He made us feel like part of his family and friends, not customers. This is the second time we have gone back to Cru in the Woodland, the main thing is Jose and the wines Thank you so much.

   We love Cru. The ambiance is thoroughly European and the wine flights are exceptional. The food selection and preparation are excellent. Only a three star rating this time because they seemed a bit understaffed last night. We waited quite some time before even receiving water. Longer for wine and even longer for food. However, we weren't in a rush and if you want the European experience, this is it. We will come back but, if you go, just be prepared to wait a bit.

   RJ was amazing!!!! First timer here and needed recommendations- RJs picks did not disappoint!!! They were absolutely delicious! Very attentive to our needs, great conversation. Most definitely will be back as long as he’s there.

   Great meal- loved the variety of flights. We had a fantastic waiter!! The appetizers especially the goat cheese balls were amazing!! Great please to go before a concert!

   It was so loud. Also there was an issue with the system for more than 20 min. We were trying to go to a concert and were stuck there waiting for our check. Not a single discount for being 40 min late to our concert. I could potentially forgive that but our service up to that point was terrible. Using the excuse of being “busy” at dinner time on the night of a concert, in a small restaurant is ridiculous. I probably won’t be going back.

   I have been many times at Cru but this time the waiting time for my second Prosecco was too long. The pizzas style had changed I was craving for my Pear Gorgonzola pizza and I didn’t like it at all.

    We went for Houston Restaurant Week (HWR) which had been extended to the end of September. When we asked for the HRW menu we were told HRW had ended even though their web page indicated they were still participating. The restaurant is very small and was very noisy. We waited about 15 minutes before we received a menu. The noise level was so high we had to yell our order. The server brought the wrong wine flight because he couldn’t hear me. Nonetheless, the wine he brought was good. The Herb Roasted Salmon some of the best I’ve had. I would highly recommend it. My wife has the steak and she felt the same way. Outstanding food. We had the Crème Brûlée for dessert and it too was great. I ordered coffee with desert. After receiving and finishing the dessert, I still had not received the coffee so I cancelled the order. Great food, mediocre service, very noisy.
