   I really hope Dahlia makes it. I love the ambience & the location. My two times there thus far have been mediocre at best. Service I would grade a C-. Food .. likewise. Aesthetic.. a B+ (the music my 2nd time was so loud that my out of town business guest asked if all restaurants in the community had music this loud.. we couldn’t have the business conversation we had hoped for). Small things make a great experience.. like a server who asks.. “Have you dined with us before?” “May I recommend..”.. or even.. “Hi! How are you?” Both visits had servers who were seemingly annoyed to be working. Definitely out of place with the location, aesthetic, and price point. Fingers crossed things turn around. Not sure I’ll be back knowing there are so many other options available in Sioux Falls.

   If you like spicy foods, then maybe this place would be for you, drinks are very limited, no bourbon drinks are available.The noise level is quite high. I will not be going back to this place, disappointed with the food , drinks available and the ambience.

As a Mexican restaurant, some of our menu items do tend to have some more heat to them, but our staff are more than happy to make suggestions based on your preferences. While our bar selection and signature cocktails does focus on tequila (we have over 225 different options available), we do have a full bar as well.    Food was pretty bland but I loved their house salsa! Our server was great but we had a reservation and got a bar table smashed against a chest of drawers right under a speaker. Not great.

   You need to try we were satisfied with everything but the noise was really overwhelming.

   What a nice ambiance! Sioux Falls is really making city strides with the new Steel District. Dahlia has a short but interesting menu. I had the roasted vegetable enchiladas. Great flavor, but maybe a touch more melted cheese than I would have preferred. My husband ordered the chorizo tacos that were served like fajitas. Good but he said they didn’t knock his socks off. We shared a classic margarita that was big and strong enough for the both of us. Our friends had shrimp tacos that they said were a tad too spicy for them (but I probably would have loved that). All in all good food at decent prices in a cool setting. It was a win and we will go again soon.

   Food was good, service was excellent. Our server was attentive and was able to answer all our questions. The room was energetic with lively conversations and people enjoying themselves.

   Try Dahlia only if you like big and loud. And if you like margaritas, you are out of luck at this place...their limited offerings are light, thin and goofy...I got an umbrella in one that I tasted! Service was excellent, but that didn't help in the end.
