Located in the heart of Fort Lauderdale and walking distance from the beach shore, Dal Contadino Trattoria is a celebration of rustic homestyle Italian cuisine. Indulge in a relaxing ambiance while enjoying handmade pastas, a catch of the day, Tuscany steak and daily specials crafted by Chef Nuccio.

Live Music on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays & Saturdays.
Social Mondays: 1/2 OFF cocktails, $2 meatballs/each. Wine Tuesdays: 1/2 OFF bottles of wine up to $100.
Happy Hour: special menu offering select food and drinks, everyday from 4-6 pm at the bar and bar area only.

                                                                                                5 of us went on a Monday at 6:30 and we had a corner table. We had flower zucchini, calamari and meatballs for appetizers that were all very good. For our meal we had bolognese, veal, lasagna and sea bass which were all great. Service was excellent. Bread is good.

We were not happy with the food although it might have been more enjoyable if not for the noise level which was annoying enough t without the music. Did n it make for a fun evening. .

                                                                                                Two of us went on a Friday at 5 pm and sat in the dining room next to the bar. It was quiet when we first arrived but got louder as we were there- recommend sitting away from bar area. Waitress was great. Food was excellent. We had grilled calamari to start and eggplant parmigiana and flounder with butter lemon sauce. For dessert we shared a pistachio cheesecake. Also they gave us bread with olive oil and parmigiana cheese-it was excellent. Overall it was a good experience.

                                                                                                The food is average at best. The live music is not necessary and SO loud. The restaurant is small with low ceilings the noise level is already high with just people eating and talking but adding the music it becomes unbearable. We asked the manager to lower the sound of the musician and the musician lowered in the after about 5 mins raised the volume back up. The food was nothing special. Between average food and the loud music we will not be back.
