   Understandable empty, as chef could not even serve cooked chicken (it was raw) and ony 6 diners in restaurant.

   Stumbled across this restaurant while doing a Google search. That turned out to be very fortuitous as this place is an absolute gem. Fantastic staff and fantastic food, that beetroot starter will live long in the memory.

   We had a fabulous lunch here. It started very badly after we got a call to say we were half an hour late and the kitchen was about to close (there was some confusion between myself and the lady who called the day before to confirm the reservation and I thought she said it was booked for 2.30pm when in fact it was 1.30pm). The lady who called to say we were late said she would check with the kitchen if it was OK if we arrived in 20 minutes - she called back and it was all fine. From beginning to end the staff were amazing and did not make us feel rushed or bad that we had been late. Would absolutely recommend the restaurant - food, service, restaurant - all fabulous. We will be back.

   Overpriced. Wrong order was brought out. Desert was not very nice.

    Very nice place. The food was fine, I wasn’t blown away by it. Some of the choices on the plate didn’t really deliver the wow factor. I had Belly Pork with Black Pudding mash. Tbh you couldn’t differentiate the flavour of the black pudding within the mash, it would have been better to have the Black Pudding as a seperate quality somehow on the plate. My chocolate mousse was nice with the poached pears, but the toasted hazelnuts tasted a little stale. It’s all very nice “promise” which doesn’t quite deliver on the food. Service was excellent and the ambience was lovely. I won’t be hurrying back sadly
